Hiya! Introducing my pride n joy (leafy), she’s a canna indica plant and was given to me as a moving in present, now we’ve been buddies for about 2 yrs! šŸ˜† Growth isn’t a prob at all, quite a hardy plant imo and it’s always exciting to see new shoots come through :) But slightly concerned I’ve been either overwatering or over fertilising, as I’m only fair amateur at the whole plant mom role, I did at one point regularly fertilise on each watering day as I thought she looked sad šŸ˜”šŸ˜‚ I’ve stopped doing this since learning about the proper care plan from this app. I’ve always slight struggled with browning/yellowing on some of the leaves but been maintaining trimming ect to try and keep healthy as possible. If anyone got any advice for this particular plant type I would be more than grateful for any pointers! :) Thankyou, Jazz.

Are good for plants because I’ve had some hitchhikers before and took them off the plant and gently put them on the ground but I am wondering if it is healthy for the plant to have a snail on it?

How do I get this Jasmine sambac to grow more full and just look less crazy? It also hasn’t grown much since i bought it last Spring (2023).

POV: Your deliciosa wants to touch your obliqua. What would you do? Cut the root at the base of the plant and remove? Cut the tip that resurfaced? Move the tip back in the soil? Let them get touchy feely?

I have tried everything I can think of to save this tradescantia I got a month ago but I cannot banish root rot. Help! I brought it home and it began to wilt/lose leaves. That tipped me off to the soil staying too wet, so I swapped it out with my own potting soil which was airier. But it has still remained too wet and every time I’ve salvaged them, the clippings rot again. Here is my pile of what I could save from a really lovely full original plant (peep the full descent in the plant photos 🫣). What am I missing? I’ve not successfully gotten them to propagate in water. I have rooting hormone. What do I do? 😭

[It’s a follow up on my earlier post. Thanks a bunch to the folks that responded 😊] Which is the better option to pot your monstera in along with the orchid bark mix? For additional context, my monstera is on a moss pole, and I wanted a mix that was fast draining to avoid root rot. Considering the Tropical Potting Soil mix and the Cactus Palm and Citrus Potting Soil mix. Leaning on the Tropical Potting mix, and I planned on mixing either one with the coarse blend.

Can anyone ID this plant? The label says ā€œCAMELLIA TRANSAR SANENSIS TINY WHITE SINGLEā€, which doesn’t seem right. I thought it might be a tea plant at first (Camellia sinensis), but the flower buds are red not white. Maybe Camellia japonica?

i just saw an instagram reel about how if your snake plant doesn’t have the pointed tip, it won’t grow ?! does anyone know if this is true? i do wonder because i’ve had one since july and there are a few leaves with no tip and they’ve stayed the same size 😳😳 tagging my plant for reference

I went to Home Depot for potting soil and ended up coming home with this as well lol. Planta says this is a Coffee plant and is difficult to keep. We shall see. I will try my best to keep it healthy. Any one else have this plant? Suggestions?

My philodendron Rio is reverting. Newest growths are missing the signature white stripes. They probably need more light. It lives on a north facing window getting moderate light since autumn. So, I’m not surprised it’s reverting. It looks like a philodendron Micans. I will cut off the top stems with the solid colored leaves hoping the new growth will be striped. It’s in the original 3 inch pot placed inside a 4 inch ceramic pot. A meat skewer and plant clips keeps it vertical to fit on the window sill. I typically water about once every 5 to 7 days in winter. So, it’s under watered a bit. But, it’s still slowly growing. I will repot in a month when I can take it back outside.
