My Maranta Leuconeura has looked perpetually uncomfortable but is somehow still thriving (growing new leaves). I don't get her deal. Can anyone with some experience tell me if this is normal and she's doing okay?
I turned my prop box into a mini greenhouse. The props seem to like it, they are rooting well. I added a heating seed starter mat underneath, the T5 light bar I bought cord extensions off Amazon so I had more reach.
I moved to a new area about 6 months ago and I dropped my huge peperomia and I saved a little. I ended up propagating it and got some beautiful roots. I potted it in July and itās barely grown and now it just doesnāt look happy anymore. Any advice? Iāve grown two new leaves which is promising but she could use some advice to stay alive. The blue pot is a picture I took today and the dog pot was in July. Same nursery pot I planted in them in when I planted them from cuttings.
So I posted about this a while back and promised Iād give an update. About a month ago I took these two rubber plants that were in the same pot and repotted them separately hoping the one on the right would benefit a little. Well, the left one is really taking off but the right one still hasnāt performed. Why wonāt it give me a new leaf? Itās looked like that for about 6 months already ā¦
New plant lets are growing amazingly! (Tiny one was the second to sprout idk why it has no progress btw I planted 3 seeds)
I need to leave my plants, and will be putting them in groups where I can use a larger plant light. Does anybody have experience with these LBW grow lights? Any other recommendations? TIA.ā¦š¤ššŖ“
Hi plant friends! I could use some encouragement this morning. This week I discovered two formerly thriving plants have spider mites - my string of pearls is one of them š Iām so sad because she was doing so well. One of my African violets is struggling, and I just saw that my Hoya compacta has wrinkled leaves and dropped some. Iām treating them and trying not to panic, so Iām not looking for advice there. But this is bringing up the old stories like I kill plants, I donāt know what Iām doing, I donāt deserve plants. So Iād be grateful if yāall would share how you overcome plant challenges and allllll the feelings. Sharing a pic of the gorgeous new leaf on my billietiae to encourage myself š
My green corner lit by a $4 60 watt dollarama grow light bulb in a vintage desk lamp. The five onion bulbs planted in the pot in the second photo are the bulbs of bunch-flowered daffodils (narcissus tazetta).
stopped at a local plant shop and they had one of my wishlist plants!! acquired this stunning dieffenbachia cool beauty šš
My linearis finally in recovery after a repot gone wrong š almost thought I lost her there for a sec, glad she still with usš„¹
This here is, ZEBBY; thatās what I call her. Sheās a pill and a half, as many of you know who love Calatheas. Iāve been having trouble with the edges of her leaves turning brown; I assume itās because sheās not getting enough humidity. However, I have a humidifier within 12 feet of her that stays between 50 and 60% humidity. I spritz her regularly; donāt know if that helps or not. And just recently, I put humidity tray under her. Iām noticing that the tray gets a yucky yellow orange color around the edges of the water. Iām wondering if I could put a couple drops of bleach in the water to help keep the tray clean. WILL ANY FUMES FROM THE BLEACH HARM MY PLANT? I know Iād only be putting a couple drops in the water, but you all know how Calatheas are⦠picky, picky, pickyā¦š! Also, those of you who tend to these ā Sarah Bernhardtsā, Iād love to hear any care advice you may have gathered over the long-haul raising these drama queens. TIA. š¤ššŖ“
Does anyone have grow light recommendations? If at all possible I would prefer to have something that is functional but also nice looking. Thanks!
New grow lights, opinions? I just found these lights for good deal at the thrift store and couldnāt help myself, I figured since thereās less hours of sunlight during winter months and Iām in a tough place for light, I could use them. How long should I keep them on and with what intensity? I have them on my philodendron silver sword, and the other I have one a bunch of different babies. I need some opinions on them!
Help!! Plantaās new winter schedule is killing my plants :(( itās already killed a couple of them and others are dying badly. Planta has me watering them way less but theyāre under a grow light and need just as much if not more water than before!! How can I fix this? Iām heartbroken over the plants Iāve lost and terrified to lose more.
Are there any bromeliad lovers out there? I recently was gifted this beautiful plant and Iād love to learn more about it. Like, what varietal is this? And how do I keep it looking so lovely?
My lucky bamboo isnāt living its best life and Iām not sure what to do. It is grown in water. I just recently learned that Iām supposed to be changing the water every week. One stock is sturdy and strong although itās new growth looks very unhealthy. The other two stocksare light green to yellow to brown tips and not very hardy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Hi my plant became droopy a while ago but it looked healthy so I let it grow is this normal and if not then how can I help it
Good morning beautiful people I need your help! In memory of my grandma who recently passed, I wanted to get two new plants to grow up and nurture back to life. I need help identifying one. I know one is a Syngonium (forgive the spelling) Arrowhead, I think the other may be a red ripple peperomia caperata. But Iām not too sure! I had no clue there were sooooo many different types of those little suckersš©š and theyāre all so beautiful ā¤ļø I just bought them home and have already repotted, with fresh soil! They really did look so sadš„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ nevertheless, Can anyone assist?!?!
So I am a beginner and I was wondering if you guys can help
