My ginseng ficusâs roots grew out of its pot again! Iâve had to repot it 3 times in the past year becuase of this and I always put 2 inches or more of soil underneath the roots at the bottom of the pot. Itâs not even growing out of its pot itâs just growing down and I donât know why. Other than that the plant is doing amazing I would just like to know if anyone has experienced this and knows how to stop it. Iâve also attached a photo of the soil I use if it is the reason it does this. Btw the photo of the plant is 2 months of root growth.

Iâve made a grave mistake đ sewed my coleus seeds too close to each other. Iâm not attached to all of them if thereâs no point in saving, but would try to make sure the survivors have good lives lol. Seeking advice đ
A beautiful story of how life âunfoldsâ
Happy spring plant people!! All of my plants are blessing me with new leaves and i hope all yours do too!!
I need some advice for my sprouting set up for my classroom. I have the seeds in coco coir. There are vents at the top of the domes. Should I open those or close them? Itâs pretty dry here. Also, how many hours do yâall leave the grow lights on? These have an option for 4, 8, 12, or 18 hours. Last question: Do you water very often if the vents on the domes are closed? I have a couple off the heat mat because weâre doing an experiment on which one works best. Thanks for the help!
Hey! New to the plant world! Trying to make my own chunky soil mix⊠I have leca and coco coir, literally nowhere says the preparation Iâm looking for. Do I soak/ rinse before adding to my soil mix? I donât use soil often, so will it mold or go bad in a container?
I have my elephant ears currently in a tropical soil mix based off of what the app recommends. However, I feel like it might not be doing it justice. I will be moving them to larger pots and would like to know if anybody recommends a different type of soil. I live in coastal Georgia so take that into consideration.
Tiny Tuesday! Share a photo of your newest tiny leaf, or a tiny plant or propagation so we can celebrate with you! đ
Hi everyone! Iâve recently just adopted a cat and Iâm having a really hard time keeping him away from my plants. I donât realize how many of my plant babies were toxic (hence the empty plant hanger lol) so Iâve had to reorganize a lot and luckily now that itâs nice out I could move most to the balcony but for extra security I really wanted to find something to keep him off them any recommendations? Iâve seen sprays and other things but I was hoping for actual verified used stuff that works and doesnât hurt my plant babies or him.
THEN and NOW. Iâve given up trying to stress her, looks pretty cute now that Iâve gotten used to it LOL

I bought this church from someone who didn't have the love anymore for it and knew it would be perfect for my garden. What do you recommend I do with it? Clean it up? Leave the moss? đ€ I wondered - is the top of the church too minimal for a plant to grow? âȘđ . . Behind it, I also have a gnome with a wheelbarrow that my other half chose. Should I fill the barrow with plants any recommendations welcome. Live: Britain with cold temps âïž
So happy with this Fiddle Leaf Fig! She is thriving! Any tips on having a shiny leaf?
My new baby ( philodendron pedatum )
I am having a serious âMandelaâ moment right now. I know for a fact that I have purchased Miracle Gro Potting Soil with Extra Drainage in a blue bag multiple times. Now itâs labeled as âmoisture controlâ and I canât find anything online about it being renamed, a different product or anything. I feel CRAZY! Am I crazy?
Match up Monday! When it is time to check the soil before watering, are you team moisture meter or team finger test?!
The Blueberry is in the curing jars The harvest was nice 2 jars of nugs And 2 jars of flare to squeeze and turn into edibles Not bad I'd say
My Fiddle-leaf/Ficus lyrata, I donât know the difference.. Itâs been like that for 3 years!! No extra leafs on stem, just this looong space between the top and the bottom. Any tips on how to break its stagnate state? I thought about doing a cutting..đ
