My ginseng ficusās roots grew out of its pot again! Iāve had to repot it 3 times in the past year becuase of this and I always put 2 inches or more of soil underneath the roots at the bottom of the pot. Itās not even growing out of its pot itās just growing down and I donāt know why. Other than that the plant is doing amazing I would just like to know if anyone has experienced this and knows how to stop it. Iāve also attached a photo of the soil I use if it is the reason it does this. Btw the photo of the plant is 2 months of root growth.

Iāve made a grave mistake š sewed my coleus seeds too close to each other. Iām not attached to all of them if thereās no point in saving, but would try to make sure the survivors have good lives lol. Seeking advice š

Happy spring plant people!! All of my plants are blessing me with new leaves and i hope all yours do too!!
I need some advice for my sprouting set up for my classroom. I have the seeds in coco coir. There are vents at the top of the domes. Should I open those or close them? Itās pretty dry here. Also, how many hours do yāall leave the grow lights on? These have an option for 4, 8, 12, or 18 hours. Last question: Do you water very often if the vents on the domes are closed? I have a couple off the heat mat because weāre doing an experiment on which one works best. Thanks for the help!
Hey! New to the plant world! Trying to make my own chunky soil mix⦠I have leca and coco coir, literally nowhere says the preparation Iām looking for. Do I soak/ rinse before adding to my soil mix? I donāt use soil often, so will it mold or go bad in a container?
I have my elephant ears currently in a tropical soil mix based off of what the app recommends. However, I feel like it might not be doing it justice. I will be moving them to larger pots and would like to know if anybody recommends a different type of soil. I live in coastal Georgia so take that into consideration.
Tiny Tuesday! Share a photo of your newest tiny leaf, or a tiny plant or propagation so we can celebrate with you! š
Hi everyone! Iāve recently just adopted a cat and Iām having a really hard time keeping him away from my plants. I donāt realize how many of my plant babies were toxic (hence the empty plant hanger lol) so Iāve had to reorganize a lot and luckily now that itās nice out I could move most to the balcony but for extra security I really wanted to find something to keep him off them any recommendations? Iāve seen sprays and other things but I was hoping for actual verified used stuff that works and doesnāt hurt my plant babies or him.
THEN and NOW. Iāve given up trying to stress her, looks pretty cute now that Iāve gotten used to it LOL

I bought this church from someone who didn't have the love anymore for it and knew it would be perfect for my garden. What do you recommend I do with it? Clean it up? Leave the moss? š¤ I wondered - is the top of the church too minimal for a plant to grow? āŖš . . Behind it, I also have a gnome with a wheelbarrow that my other half chose. Should I fill the barrow with plants any recommendations welcome. Live: Britain with cold temps āļø
So happy with this Fiddle Leaf Fig! She is thriving! Any tips on having a shiny leaf?
My new baby ( philodendron pedatum )
I am having a serious āMandelaā moment right now. I know for a fact that I have purchased Miracle Gro Potting Soil with Extra Drainage in a blue bag multiple times. Now itās labeled as āmoisture controlā and I canāt find anything online about it being renamed, a different product or anything. I feel CRAZY! Am I crazy?
Match up Monday! When it is time to check the soil before watering, are you team moisture meter or team finger test?!

My Fiddle-leaf/Ficus lyrata, I donāt know the difference.. Itās been like that for 3 years!! No extra leafs on stem, just this looong space between the top and the bottom. Any tips on how to break its stagnate state? I thought about doing a cutting..š
