This Wednesday is Earth day đ Here at Planta we are celebrating all week with with challenges! Earth Week Challenge 1: Growth is a Gift đȘŽâš
Weâre starting off Earth Week with a new feature alert: Propagation! đŁ
Sustainability isnât just about today, itâs about thinking ahead. Today, weâre using our new feature to prepare for the future.
The Mission:
Take cuttings from various plants now to prep for future gifts. By the time the next celebration rolls around, youâll have a rooted, living present ready to go. No plastic, no store-run, just shared growth. âïž
Join the movement, try out the new feature, and show us what youâre propagating!

Keep or cut the blossoms?
My strawberry plant is already starting to make blossoms. Iâm in Seattle (Zone 9) and not sure if I should trim the blossoms to help the plant focus on growth now and nurture blossoms in a few weeks. Or should I just let the blossoms go? Itâs a well established plant but only got like 5 berries last year.

Does anyone know what snake plant variety this is? Thank you!

My wife got this plant from a friend who was moving but we have no idea what it is. All the plant identification apps canât figure it out either. Iâm pretty sure itâs some type of succulent because of how thick the leaves are but thatâs about it. We have two cats and just want to make sure itâs not toxic to them and also how to care for the plant appropriately. If any experts know please help! Thanks!

I think im doing pretty well with my calathea. The only problem is the leaves are curling, I know the problem is the humidity and Iâve put it on a rock tray but they still are slightly curled. Is this normal?

My weekend plant project is finally complete. I hope the frogs love it as much as I do. The Philodendron Brazil will really need to prune itself back though. Made sure to install a waterfall and fans to help water the frogs and plants and keep them healthy and happy đ

I neglected this plant some time ago. I put her outside and the fall winds knocked her over. Brought her in and was watering her, but she wasnât doing much. Did some YouTube research and realized she was in dormancy. Clipped her in two spots last week, and now she is out of dormancy and sprouting new leaves!

I have been out of work for 10.5 months. Very stressful.
I had an interview that went really well this week. They had a Philodendron Painted Lady and Pink Princess in the lobby.
Maybe it is a sign!!!!

UPDATE: Heard from customer service and they offered refund or replacement.
Whatâs your experience with purchasing plants from Planta? Iâm posting here because I havenât gotten a reply from customer service. I bought two plants. One (monstera) looks great but the philodendron came with issues.
