Do you guys find the planta app watering schedule accurate? I tried to follow it since I tend to overwater my plants but then some of my plants were definitely showing stress signs from underwatering and werenât due for water for a few more days
Help! Do you think this plant is a philodendron silver stripe? Or a philodendron rio?
I got a Majesty Palm not realizing apparently they are very hard plant! I repotted it in a cactus/palm soil and got a terra cotta bulb and got a tray to add rocks too. Please give me all your tips itâs already looking sad!

For years Iâve been a lurker in the plant world, admiring all your thriving jungles from afar. Growing up I was always the one a little too obsessed with nature, but last week I finally said: âItâs time.â I ordered my very first official plant haul and on Aug 14th these beauties arrived: âą đ± 4PK Pothos (random selection) â 2 Ă Marble Queen, Golden Pothos, Scindapsus Variegated âą đ± 4PK Essential Houseplants (random) â Ficus elastica âTinekeâ, Monstera adansonii ssp. laniata, Philodendron tortum (fern leaf), Heartleaf Philodendron (Brasil) âą đ± Personal wishlist picks â Calathea Rattlesnake & Calathea Dottie (painted prayer plant) Theyâre now set up on a 57â bamboo 7-tier plant shelf, about 9 ft across from a southeast-facing window, with LED strip grow lights (3 modes: warm white, red, full spectrum). Currently running full spectrum (380â780nm) on a 12hr cycle. đ Placement so far (based on what Iâve learned & been told): âą Bottom tier (shadier/humid zone): Calathea Rattlesnake + Dottie (prayer plant). After the first night home, my rattlesnake stretched dramatically toward the window, so I asked ChatGPT and was advised to keep the two calatheas on the bottom shelf where humidity is higher and light is less direct. âą Middle tiers (moderate light): Pothos crew, Heartleaf Philodendron, Scindapsus âą Upper tiers (closer to lights): Ficus Tineke, Monstera adansonii, Philodendron tortum, Marble Queens, Golden Pothos Iâve got a humidifier, soil moisture meter, sprayer, and plant food ready to go. đ§đŹïž đ Concerns: âą My Monstera adansonii came in rough (droopy + bleach spots), and my app already flagged him as ânot well.â Soil is still wet from shipping, but he looks unhappy even with light. âą My Scindapsus leaves are feeling dry/crunchy to the touch even though the soil still reads moist. Not sure if thatâs stress from shipping or something I should act on. đ For those who own any of these â whatâs your best advice for long-term success? Whatâs something you wish someone had told you in the beginning about these plants? ((in photo attached plants were in different until i came home the next day to find the rattlesnake reaching for the south facing window so thatâs why it mentions i changed their placements around a bit, iâll have to admit i do have a live king camera on plants and the rattle & prayer look a bit happier at the bottom⊠iâm dying to put the rattlesnake snake on my gaming desk & the prayer back up up top as i wont those two to show off the most))
This is the first sunny day in weeks itâs been raining where I live nonstop so got almost all the plants out for a taste of sun!

My silver satin pothos literally is so confusing. Sheâs growing and thriving at the top, but the bottom leaves keep turning yellow and dying off. đđ why is she doing this to me
I have this Christmas cactus (maybe). I got cuttings from my grandmother who got gem from her dad so the original cactus is about 75 years old. Iâve seen pictures of Christmas cacti and this one looks way too bulky to be one but that might just be because of its age. Any ideas on what type of cactus it is?

I just ordered a moss pole off Amazon and the scent is quite strong. Itâs a moldy mildewy smell. How do I get the smell out so I can use it in my house? Any suggestions would be good. Itâs not wet or damp, it just has that manufacturing smell I guess.
Hello My silver sprikles seems to drop a lot of leaves and they easily fall off when i move the plant for watering. Is this normal or does it mean its unhappy?
