The mornings are starting to dip below 55 in western PA so I decided to start moving my babies inside. Oof the process of moving them in the app from one site to another is tedioussssss!!! Took me almost 45 mins lol 😂😂😂
Watering Wednesday 💦 Looking forward to seeing the progress. Tips welcome.
Going to the Chicago botanical garden tomorrow and if any of you guys have any tips or nice places to go there, I would greatly appreciate it please and thank you
I decided to propagate this dieffenbachia and instead of only growing new roots, this guy has new leaves & shoots growing too. He must be really happy in this bottle!
A little switch up before vacation 🫶🏾🌱
Finish this sentence… You know you are a plant person when…
Today we have a tropical storm coming in, so all of the porch plants are inside for a day or two. Just looking at them all together in my living room makes my heart happy♥️ so I thought I’d share my little collection.
Hello! I have this, what I believe to be, cylindrical snake plant, and when I got it all the shoots came up perfectly cylindrical. But now, the new offshoots are coming up open. I don’t mind the look, but curious if there’s a reason this is happening? For the first 2 years I had this plant it sat away from windows and got very minimal light, but also barely grew. I moved it more into the light now to try for new growth (which worked!) but the new growth just wasn’t what I was expecting. Again, happy either way but would love to know if it is because of better lighting or if this is normal for this plant. Any tips or recommendations for this plant to keep it happy and growing?
I heard spider plants were good indoor plants and help to purify the air. I don’t have a green thumb and have been known to kill a plant or two in the past. I’m open to ALL advice! I really want to keep this beauty alive and healthy. I know nothing…fertilizer, watering schedules. All help is appreciated!
My old plant has finally bloomed! 🥹
Hi all This is my jasmine polyanthum which I have had for 18months. I’ve not had much luck keeping it healthy and a couple of months ago decided to cut it back to healthy only and repotted into a smaller pot and moved it to my kitchen. It’s doing better now but I’m wondering if I should cut it back to get it bushier? Any other advice on how to get it bigger and healthier would be appreciated too. It’s currently in a south west facing window where previously it had been in my living room, which is south facing but it was positioned against the wall so when it started to fail I put it under a grow light. Thanks
I want to put a plant in my bathroom. There’s not a lot of natural light. What plant would be good in there? It’s usually chilly even in summer in this bathroom until someone showers.
I’m thrilled!!! Found this new baby in a $5 cart at my local grocery store! She needs some TLC, but I’m up for it. She shall be called “Stitches”. 🪴🧵 (sunglasses for size)
Hi! 👋 I am thinking of starting with an outdoor, potted plant (oh, and I reside in California). But, I have no idea what plant to start with especially because I am an absolute beginner. I have no idea where to start. Does anyone recommend a plant I should try out and maybe any sources you may have used to help you get started? I would love to read about it. Any tips welcomed. ☺️
My fiddle leaf fig is still only branching on one side. I did the pinch a month or so ago. It began branching only on the left side at the top. So I pinched that growth, now it's only growing on the right side. She has lots of light and a fan. Gets fertilized every other watering. I've tried some gentle notching but am worried about going too far. How do I get more branching?
This is my first string of dolphins and she is looking rough. Any tips?
What do the brown tips usually signify? Chemicals from tap water Lack of sunlight Too much sunlight Or something else?
Tropical Tuesday! Post the plant that makes your space feel like a rainforest 💚
