I heard spider plants were good indoor plants and help to purify the air. I don’t have a green thumb and have been known to kill a plant or two in the past. I’m open to ALL advice! I really want to keep this beauty alive and healthy. I know nothing…fertilizer, watering schedules. All help is appreciated!

Spider plants are “easy” if you get to know them. They are thirsty but hardy in my care (I have two). When mine were smaller, I probably watered once a week. I think I’ve heard they don’t like their roots tampered with, so I’ve always just “popped and dropped” when it comes to repots. They’ll let you know they’re thirsty by drooping a bit and browning their tips. Water them thoroughly (until water drips out of the bottom). I’ve also always let mine sit in a teench of water post-watering to allow the soil to really absorb the moisture. They don’t get any extra humidity in my care. I “fertigate” all of my plants (meaning I use a diluted amount of fertilizer every time I water) so my babies are well fed. They just get bigger and more beautiful! Here are my two babies. I think one is 2 1/2 years old and the other 1 1/2!

They can be fussy. Just let the soil dry a bit then lightly water. Their roots hold water too so you don’t have to run to them often. They like being bunched together too so don’t repot if the roots aren’t bundled up yet
