Hello! I’m about to move across country (14 hour drive) and have no clue how to keep my plants safe and packaged for the move. We are going to just drive in one day but the plants will probably be in the car for a few days just with the logistics of everything. What is the best way to pack them so that things don’t get tangled and leaves don’t get broken off. I’ve included some pictures of the plants I have. Thanks!

Happy National Herb day!!! What kind of herbs do you have growing?!

My Leafy Life

I have never learned to do anything DIY construction-wise so I was pretty proud of myself for bugging a diamond head drill bit for my Dremel (that I use for my dogs nails) and drilled some drainage holes in the bottom of two small pots. I detest pots without drainage and thes had two plants in them my daughter-in-law bought. Now they'll be perfect as starting pots for cuttings or rooting leaves.

Can anyone help me with my lemon plant? It was planted from a seed a few years ago. At one point very early on it all but died and dropped all of its leaves however has since recovered to this point. What can I do to make it grow taller rather than outward, which is what it seems to be doing? It has a nice thick stalk now but it’s very short! Thank you!

I’ve owned Aloe Vera plants for about 4 years now. I’m just now learning that they shouldn’t be watered that often. How they’ve all survived is beyond me, lol. 😅 Anyway, it’s been pouring in my town for the past couple of days, I’m wondering, should I bring my Aloe Vera plants inside? 🤔

I have 3 peace Lillies which are all under 2 years old. They have been great growers/flowers till a month ago. Following Planta instructions, good natural light & ventilation. They are drooping & not recovering after watering as they used to. 😢

My cobra monstera seems to be growing horizontally, is it normalfor this plant? I’m guessing I need a horizontal pot?

Sooooo I found out my girl actually had 3 plants in one pot so I had to split her up. The backs were facing all different directions 2nd repotting in a month and a half? Maybe less lmao but I’m trying Lecca and moss for one of the plants. My question is how much water should I put for the lecca and will the leaves that are yellowing die?

I got this golden Pothos cutting today. I see a lot of nodes. Should I put the stem in water to the red mark area so all those nodes can turn into roots?

Happy Friday everyone! I have a pothos that is very healthy in a 12” pot that I had a moss pole in. I just was curious if anyone had some great ideas about how to support it better or do I cut it way back and start over? The longest vine is about 20’ long!! Was thinking of trying an upside down tomato cage?? I’ve made the link to the history of my plant just below ⬇️ :)

Hello plant people, I just potted this cutting of ”mini monstera” (rhaphidophora tetrasperma), aka not a true monstera. I got it online, and it wasnt my choice to leave the cutting like this lol. There’s a clear point of growth with a new leaf on the way at the bottom. Is there any point in keeping that big chunky stick? Will it grow new leaves? If not, I might just cut it and propagate it and pop it back in the same pot. :-)

Wilting Leaves? My Peace Lily Sensation has been droopy for two weeks now, even if I water it. It has a good pot drainage. So I am just wondering if it’s because the temperature is dropping? It’s almost cold season in where I live (not snowing, just gets cold.) Could the cold temperature be the reason? Thank you!

I have a zz plant that seems to have some issues. I have two stems in a pot that have gained these divits or ridges. It’s very strange. I’m going to open her up tomorrow to check out the roots and repot it. Wanted to see if anyone here experienced this or has advice. It’s a plant at my office that doesn’t get any real sunlight, just artificial office lighting. It’s usually been ok though! So this was just new to me.
