Looking at IKEAs website it seems like they have plants on very reasonable pricing. The closest IKEA to me is a 90min drive so I thought I’ll check with folks here if they have any knowledge of the quality. I’d rather avoid the long trip if the plants are actually in bad shape; not well cared for, etc. Anyonke has seen them? Bought plants from there?

Got these cuttings back in September rescued from rotting in muddy water. Once the roots were nice and healthy I potted in soil.. they almost died. I put them back in water almost 2 months ago and are thriving. I’m so scared to put them back in soil, but everything I read says they won’t survive long term in water.. Also, how would I even pot these..? Send help PLS!

Hi! I’m new to plants and have a few tropical ones. One of them is a lemon-lime maranta (prayer plant) and a young Thai constellation monstera. I live in southern Az and it’s very dry. I have been putting the plants in my bathroom at night with a humidifier and then bringing them out in my room (a lot less humid) during the day for natural indirect lighting. Is this a good routine for them??

A while back I had a conversation with one of you lovely people about a peperomia you were looking to rehome. You commented on a post of mine to get in touch, things got hectic, I finally went to search for the comment... I can't find it. And I can't even remember enough to effectively search. If you are still out there, let's connect!

This is BarBar. She used to be a huge plant but started to get infested so I cut off the infected parts and instead of planting them together I put them in the soil separately like this. Is there a way that I can repot her so that they all grow together? My boyfriend got me this pot so I really wanna keep her in this, but I feel like they should not be so spread out.

My plants need a repot, can I put a 3.5 in potted plant into a 6” pot without it causing issues or is that too big? I get so nervous when it’s time to repot

Watering Wednesday! Friendly reminder to check the soil before you grab that watering can 😀 What plants are on the watering agenda today?

Had to show everyone these beauties. Started from tissue culture. And they are all flourishing. Highly recommend getting tissue cultures if you haven’t tried them yet. Alocasia Bambino Pink Variegata - Tissue Culture 1/9/26 (bottom right in main picture) Alocasia Frydek Variegated - Tissue Culture 1/9/26 (bottom left in main picture) Alocasia Polly Mint Pink - Tissue Culture 1/9/26 (top in main picture)

I cut some gall wasps out of my baby lemonade tree. It’s only about 16 months old. I’m getting mixed advice on whether it will recover or if I should remove it altogether because the fruit might taste awful once it starts producing. The tree looks okay overall, but some of the leaves are looking a bit stressed since I removed all the galls. Any advice would be really appreciated. All I want in life is to successfully grow a few citrus trees, and I currently have three!

I recently seen on instagram that there is such thing as plant bingo!? But it’s only available in Canada and California. I was wondering if anyone is located in Michigan or even Chicago or Ohio and knows of anything similar!?

I bought 4 new plants (now have 54) for $60 total at my local junk store and I need everyone to tell me I scored

Happy Tuesday! What seeds have you started?! How are they doing? If you haven’t started any, but is planning on it , what are you planting?

Majestic palm… ruined away anything dead looking or dried out cut back everything dead and soaked in a peroxide water solution for 10 minutes. Do they look OK? Do you think they’ll survive?

I’m just curious about some of the instructions. If my plant soil is not dried out and I have instructions to fertilize it, should I go ahead and fertilize it or wait until it is dried out more and fertilize it when it would normally be watered?

Placement question! 🪴 I have a monstera/swiss cheese and a goldfish plant that I’m thinking of moving to a different spot in my living room. It looks like you may need to open/expand the pictures to get the full view, but the first picture is where I’m thinking of placing them, in planters nailed to the wall. The second picture is a view of where they currently are, and where the only source of light in the room is. (It’s my sliding doors out to the balcony) Planta says both these plants thrive in “part sun/part shade” so does the proposed new location seem ok, or might it be too in the shade? The window where the light comes in faces east and there’s a balcony overhead, since we live in a condo building.

My “Mojito” and “Black Beauty” colocasias just pushed out new leaves, and they’re stunning. 😍 Crazy to see the size of these new leaves knowing that I got them when they both were in teeny-tiny pots.
