Hi everyone! My rubber plant has lost all its leaves at the bottom - any suggestions? I was reading I could notch it a couples times. Or do I just cut it? Iâm worried it wonât grow roots with that many leaves. Thanks in advance!
Is anyone else having issues with the Planta app? This is the second time this has happened to me but all of my to do list as far as my plants has disappeared so I have no idea which plant needs what. And it is also giving me lots of wrong information. For example, it is telling me to never water my prayer plant during the month of March. I am so confused and frustrated.
anyone know planta codes for buying from their market? i have my eye on a few syngonium.....
Just got this gardening , any ideas on pruning?
Hello, can anyone tell me what kind of plant this might be? TIA!
So my avocado was finally moved from his water jar to a pot of soil about 4 weeks ago. Iâve. Even watering and misting per the appâs instructions, but his leaves are curling and looking dry. Any help or advice is appreciated! Heâs 18â tall and has his own little growlight
Does keike paste work on ZZ plants?
Never gets old watching these little chunky prop roots grow
Lighting question! My husband built me a shelf in this large east facing window- would you consider this bright indirect light or shade? I have my grow light going because the garage from the right seems to cast a shadow but wanted some other opinions- would you still be using the grow light to supplement? Or is it overkill for my aroids?
Some plant memes that made me laugh !!
How do you access and use the light meter on the app. I have a Monstera that was doing amazing and now it looks all wilted. I thought it was being overwatered, but whenever I check, itâs underwater Iâve tried moving it to various places. I just donât know what to do to make it happy.
Does anyone know which ficus this is? I received it as a gift, and all the tag says is âOriental Ficusâ. It looks like it might be a Benjamina that has been kept as a bonsai but in kokedama?
I noticed that my potted palm is kind of bending at the top. I donât know if I need to support it or if thatâs how itâs supposed to go.??
Thereâs a whole world of DIY projects and tips when it comes to gardening. Here are some of our favorites: DIY seed tape (A), seed roll (B), and homemade pots (C)! Have you tried any of these or other DIY projects? Hit or miss? đ đȘŽ ______________________________________ A: Making Your Own Seed Tape What you need: * Toilet paper * Water * Flour * Skewer * Seeds How to do it: * Cut the toilet paper in half lengthwise * Mix water and flour * Dip the skewer in the mixture and dab it onto the paper at appropriate intervals * Place one seed per dab * Let it dry * Fold in half lengthwise (so the paper covers the seeds) * Label the seed type * Plant directly in the soil when it's time and cover with a bit of soil ______________________________________ B: Making a Seed Roll What you need: * Toilet paper * Long plastic strip (you can cut out the middle of a plastic bag) * Seeds * Soil * String/rubber band/twine * Something to hold the roll upright How to do it: * Lay the plastic strip on a flat surface * Place toilet paper over the strip * Add a layer of soil (about 0.5 cm thick) * Place seeds at appropriate intervals (about 2-3 cm apart) * Roll it up * Tie it with a string or band to keep it together * Place it in a glass or cup with water at the bottom (refill as needed) ______________________________________ C: Making Your Own Pots What you need: * Rinsed containers * Soil * Seeds/plants * Optional: Nail/screw * Optional: Fire to heat the nail How to do it: * Make holes in the bottom of the containers either by heating a nail and pressing through (works on plastic) or by screwing through the bottom * Fill with soil * Water * Add seeds/plants ______________________________________ Happy planting đȘŽ
Hi everyone. We have a few american arbor vitae bushes outside and are looking to try and make them grow as soon as possible to provide some privacy. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Any idea on what is the best fertiliser to use? Thank advice is much appreciated!
New here so hello everyone. I'm in the UK and this is my conservatory. Glad to meet you all
AHHH đ± I GOT MY FIRST BONSAI SPROUT!! đ±đ I bought it from Ace Hardware for like $30 & itâs taken 3 weeks for this magic to happen, I thought I had got bad seeds đ BUT HERE WE ARE!! Iâm so hype, itâs crazy lol Itâs a Desert Rose Bonsai
My anthurium is in a pot that is meant for a violet; itâs a self watering terracotta pot. I put my plant in this pot, because even though sheâs tiny, she has a tendency to have the tips of her leaves dry out; Iâm hoping this pot will prevent that. However, since I see water inside the bottom of the pot most of the time, which I did not put there, (the water leaks through the terra-cotta pot), I am worried this plant may stay too wet, and eventually might suffer from root rot. Will this pot be dangerous to my plantâs overall health? TIA!
Can anyone tell me what this yellow stuff is thatâs growing at the base of my aloe? When I touch it, itâs quite hard, but itâs just sort of sitting on top of the soil. TIA!
