Can anyone ID this plant? The label says “CAMELLIA TRANSAR SANENSIS TINY WHITE SINGLE”, which doesn’t seem right. I thought it might be a tea plant at first (Camellia sinensis), but the flower buds are red not white. Maybe Camellia japonica?

i just saw an instagram reel about how if your snake plant doesn’t have the pointed tip, it won’t grow ?! does anyone know if this is true? i do wonder because i’ve had one since july and there are a few leaves with no tip and they’ve stayed the same size 😳😳 tagging my plant for reference
I went to Home Depot for potting soil and ended up coming home with this as well lol. Planta says this is a Coffee plant and is difficult to keep. We shall see. I will try my best to keep it healthy. Any one else have this plant? Suggestions?
Does anyone know what that white stuff on top is? Almost looks like mold ☹️
My philodendron Rio is reverting. Newest growths are missing the signature white stripes. They probably need more light. It lives on a north facing window getting moderate light since autumn. So, I’m not surprised it’s reverting. It looks like a philodendron Micans. I will cut off the top stems with the solid colored leaves hoping the new growth will be striped. It’s in the original 3 inch pot placed inside a 4 inch ceramic pot. A meat skewer and plant clips keeps it vertical to fit on the window sill. I typically water about once every 5 to 7 days in winter. So, it’s under watered a bit. But, it’s still slowly growing. I will repot in a month when I can take it back outside.
Note that I posted this last week with 0 images that showed that I’m talking about. Ahem. A note on ID’ing plants because the more I know, the bigger my imagination and mental database becomes, and I often overthink. I see what I want to see. Because they are (for me, for the experts in forums) wicked hard to pick out of a line-up with other species in the genus - and other genera - I tend to confuse Copiapoa with a couple plants, the Mammillaria compressa in particular. It’s a cool cactus, but not Copiapoa… I THINK. I’m still not 100% this is M compressa until it gets more color and grows a bit, but this is the super subtle tip-off so far. That squiggly areole. (I like thinking about how, for example, seeds from Mexico made it to Chile and what popped out evolved just slightly enough to accommodate the new climate.) Also, my tips for ID: figure out more or less the genus, search Etsy. If I don’t know the exact species yet, I go to places such as Mountain Crest Gardens and Planet Desert for more info. I love Llifle dot com, but the thumbnails of cactus often show a mature, flowering plant or a 50-year old columnar. That site is amazing if you’re looking to identify your Lithops, though. Examples of Copiapoa provided for reference lol.
Can anyone recommend some good indoor fertilizer and how often to use it?
I have a Philodendron Fuzzy petiole and Its been living in the same small round pots (its been since since i got it) i bought Coir pole(s) off amazon and Wondering if I keep this Plant in its pot (its quite Big- the plant pot its Very small but no roots are coming out the bottom haha) and Add this pole instead of putting it in a longer pot will it be okay since im adding A coir pole? Or should still Completely upsize/Give it the Correct Shaped pot for it with the moss(coir) pole?
can anyone identify this for me please
I am wanting to experiment with LECA and PONS in place of soil for some of my plants. Asking for your experiences.. plants that did well in which medium and which did not. My experience so far is with my polka dot begonia.. I killed 3 of them and the last, big poppa, I put in LECA as a Hail Mary and he. Is lovin’ it.. so please share your thoughts
does anyone know why my croton petra leaves are flipped? there like twisted
Let’s play a game of spot the anthurium seeds🤭
Hello, I’m fairly new to caring for plants. I got the Raven Zz about a week ago and I noticed that it looked like roots popping out the bottom of the pot. Does this mean to repot in a bigger pot?
Hi! New to plants and planta. I have a collection of plants in my sunroom but it gets very cold, as low as in the 40s in that room since it’s not heated like the rest of the house. I imagine this is harmful to my plants. What do I do? Space heater?
To mist or not to mist. Now that is the question. I stopped misting my plants about a month ago when I read that misting is just a temporary/momentary moisture that doesn’t really do anything to help plants. I also read that it helps to create mold and fungus on the plants. I must admit though, I feel a bit weird to keep pressing “skip all” when it’s misting day for plants in this app. I assume that Planta knows more and better than I do on basic plant care; I’m just a beginner. Therefore, they have to recommend it for some reason, right? So, now I’m turning to the community that has an insane amount of knowledge (seriously - y’all are fantastic). Please help guide me - do I mist or nah?
Hello all - my plants were thriving then the winter hit and I had to move them from being near the heater but my windows are near the heater. The are really getting sad and losing a lot of leafs along with dryness even tho I got them a humandfire and water them. I don’t know how to manage. I think they are lacking sun but not sure.
Hello everyone!🎉🥳 I purchased these beauties yesterday. I got paranoid bc I saw some thrips and fungus gnats in some of the other plants at the store so when I got home I got straight to work! I know it’s not recommended to repot plants during the winter but I just had to make sure that they were cleaned and healthy so they could flourish! I took all of their dirt out and cleaned the roots with the shower head, made a diluted mixture of dawn and Luke warm water and soaked the leaves for about 5-10 mins. I then rinsed off the leaves making sure all the water mixture or any insects I couldn’t see were now rinsed off. I scrubbed the pots they were originally in with soap and hot water and used new dirt for both and repotted them in their original pots and then bottom watered both. After all of that I wiped down the leaves with a clean cloth (top and bottom) and then treated them with my need oil. Took about 2 hours😮💨 Anywho, I got SO many babies from them and now I’m trying different propagation methods hoping to see some healthy growth! So excited to take care of my plants and so thankful to have so many of you to learn from!💗
I have this spider plant that I propagated from a cutting I was given a few months ago. It hangs about two feet in front of my window and I water it when the soil is about half or almost fully dry. The tips are brown and crispy and it doesn’t seem to have grown much since I planted it. It has had a few babies sprout up but they die soon after growing. Does anyone know how I can help it?
Where can I cut to propagate this plant? This part is starting to lean over and it feels& looks like it might snap
Has anyone had any luck with propagating an umbrella tree? Mine is about 3 years old and is getting super tall and starting to lean. I was thinking about trying to propagate some off the top if it wasn’t too risky.
