Okay so the WEIRDEST thing is happening right now! I went out of the country for the weekend, literally ONLY the weekend, and my dieffenbachia was totally fine and healthy when I left. I get home 3 days later and a TON of the leaves have all turned yellow, and the plant literally smells burnt??? Like, kind of what your hair smells like after you use a hot tool on it without heat protectant LOL. It’s the most bizarre thing I’ve ever witnessed. I didn’t move the plant or leave it unwatered or in direct sunlight or anything, I have no idea what the heck happened and I’ve had 0 issues with this plant since I got it up until now. Anyone know what could be happening?? EDIT: I think I’ve figured out why and I wanted to share because I think it’s interesting! So I only started smelling that burnt smell once I began to cut the yellow leaves off of the plant. After some research, apparently dieffenbachias literally just smell like that on the inside of the plant because of their sap/natural chemical compounds. They have a strong chemical/burnt odor to them, especially if leaves are damaged or if you cut them off. That’s so wild, I had no idea! Very interesting thing to learn today lol. I still have no idea why so many leaves turned yellow while I was gone, I’m hoping the plant was just dry and will recover now that she’s been watered and given a trim 😌
What in interesting concept!
I got a plant off the website easyplant has anyone used them before or have any opinions on the plants from the website?

A couple of weeks ago I made this . Ive noticed the app is trying to get me to water each plant individually and on different days. Should I delete these plants and just add them as one Coleous to get the app to recognize it as one plant?
Back from the plant graveyard is ‘Disney,’ our Mickey Mouse Alocasia. There were no signs of life whatsoever. I guess I have the squirrels to thank for digging around and let her get enough light to rise up 😎
WOW Wednesday! Drop the plant that made you gasp this week. Big leaves, tiny sprouts, unexpected growth, we want it all 😍🌿
My rose-painted calathea has a ton of dry edges. She currently sits on a shelf next to an east facing window. Is she getting too much direct sunlight should I trim away the dry edges? Any help is much appreciated.
I need some help. I transplanted my plant because the pot had become too small. I was having issues with gnats because it had too much water. Now I’m worried there may still be eggs in the soil, but I feel like the plant is dying! I’m not very experienced with plants. Can anyone help me understand what might be happening? Thank you. 🌱🙏🏻
Meet Poppy Pearl. I got her recently and she isnt that strong and has lost so many of her stems and leaves. I’m being so gentle with her now. But is that the tendency of this type of plant?
Does anyone know what plant this is? TIA

Hi, does anyone have any idea how to help my sago palm?
Heyyy It’s been almost two months since I transplanted these tomato plants but the flowers still hasn’t come. Does anyone know when I’ll get my first flowers? Thanks!!!!
The ultimate question: Pumice or Perlite! Specifically, I am trying to increase aeration for my velvet leaf philodendron that needs well draining soil. It has taken forever to dry out in between watering so I need to repot, check for root rot, and give it a new mix. I’m also not looking to spend too much so I would go for perlite if someone has a recommendation of one they really like!
