My rose-painted calathea has a ton of dry edges. She currently sits on a shelf next to an east facing window. Is she getting too much direct sunlight should I trim away the dry edges? Any help is much appreciated.

Check for root rot

There’s no root rot, I water it about once a week.
I have another just like it next to a south facing window and it’s absolutely beautiful with no issues.
It may be dry air
Do you use tap water? Calathea do best with distilled or rain water. Tap water will kill them😫
Is it ok to use tap water that’s been left out over night? Apparently leaving it out makes it ok
Water that sits out over night helps but it doesn’t remove lime from the tap water and Calathea are very lime sensitive. I only water mine with distilled or rainwater and it help me keep them alive much longer
