So fun story, when I first got my alocasia Watsoniana, and was new to planta I was scavenging the app and the internet to find if it was a Watsoniana or not, and after much looking couldn’t find it on the app, so I decided to fill in a request to be added and guess what!! It’s been added, so now if you search for it you’ll find it!! Woooo
can anyone help me here and give me advice? :,) this is my brother’s bamboo plant that i’ve been taking care of. i’ve repotted the plant about a year ago with rocks i’ve picked up while hiking (and didn’t clean them so i’m assuming that could be the problem?) and since then the leaves been yellow. i try frequently watering it once the water runs low, still been yellow. now i’m thinking about repotting since it looks like the roots are growing. any advice and helpful tips?
I accidentally waterlogged my Jasmine and now the soil is very very smelly my whole room smells like it what can I do to get rid of the odor? the roots were growing out too so I’m going to repot it once the soil is dry enough I would love some advice!

Super basic watering questions from a newbie! I'm new to houseplants and I want to know how people water their plants. Like, logistically. 😆 Do you take the water to the plants, with a watering can? Or do you bring the plants to the sink? If you use a watering can, what do you do about the extra water that drains out of the pot into the saucer? Do you dump it into a bucket or something? What about really big plants? How do you get the water out of the saucer if the plant is too big to easily lift? How much time does it take to water all your plants? Tell me how you water your plants, please! 🙏 (These feel like kind of silly questions, but I also know there are people who don't know how to pick up a cat or hold a baby. Everyone's a beginner at something!)
I have many variegated plants and noticed they are not doing that well in the winter. Our house is 62 at night. So here is my greenhouse solution with a heat mat to keep it at 70. I hope they like it! I am waiting to see if I need a humidifier if there is water in the tray. We will see what happens.
I repotted my first plant last year using this soil, and I’ve been using it ever since. I’ve seen a lot of posts on this app about well-draining soil and I don’t think this qualifies. I think it’s easier to overwater when a plant is in this soil. Does anyone have experience using this? Is there better quality all-purpose soil out there? Other suggestions?

Hello! I’m new here, and new to being a plant dad lol. I have a plant that I’m trying to save, I brought it from my mom’s house whilst she’s away in Honduras, no one was taking care of it for her and it was completely dry. I brought it home to see if I can save it, I am unsure on what to do.. I think I may have overwatered it. What else can I do to save it? I’ve thought about repotting it because the soil is quite a few years old, and I think it may benefit from being in a bigger pot? I’m open to any advice, thank you much!
