Hey y’all!! I just got this cute little Alocasia from Lowe’s, but I can’t seem to find a ID on which type of Alocasia she is! Does anyone here know?? The base is pink and leaves are very arrow shaped. Thanks!

đŸŒ± Help! My plant's roots are coming through the bottom of the planter! What should I do? Hey plant lovers! I'm in need of some advice or solutions for a plant predicament I'm facing. My plant's roots have started to grow through the drainage holes at the bottom of the planter, and I'm not quite sure how to handle this situation. 🌿 Has anyone else experienced this before? I'm worried that the roots growing out of the bottom might be hindering the plant's growth or causing other issues. What steps should I take to address this problem and ensure my plant stays healthy and happy? Here are a few questions I have: 1ïžâƒŁ Should I repot the plant into a larger pot to give the roots more space to grow? Or is there another solution? I like the plants current size. 2ïžâƒŁ Would it be beneficial to trim or prune the roots that are coming out of the drainage holes, or is that too risky? 3ïžâƒŁ What signs should I look out for to determine if the roots are causing any harm to the plant? 4ïžâƒŁ Are there any preventative measures or tips I can follow to prevent this from happening again in the future? I would greatly appreciate any advice, tips, or personal experiences you can share regarding this issue. I want to make sure I provide the best care for my plant and keep it thriving! Thank you in advance for your help! 🌿💚

My alocasia Polly is showing yellow/orange on leaves and even some holes. I just reported and watered and fertilized her 5 days ago. Her soul is still pretty moist..what can be causing this? I did notice it before repoting

Sharing time! Tell me a time you made a mistake or had something terrible happen to your plant. I'll go first. A few weeks ago, I repotted my very large/long Brazil. I find it difficult to repot my bigger plants so I wait until I absolutely have to do it. After she was in her new home, I noticed her longest vine was getting a bit crispy. I investigated further and found that THE VINE WAS BROKEN. 😭😭😭 It was almost 10 feet long. I screamed so loud my kids thought something bad happened. I'm now propagating her, and hopefully can put her back into the mom pot. It must have happened when I repotted her. 🙁 Now you go!

Well, it finally happened. Moved my calathea to the graveyard today. I mourned for maybe 30 seconds. 😆

Has anyone else noticed it seems that they’re adding more specialized tabs under the info pages of plants most often asked about? I’ve been reading them as I come to them and am finding ones in areas I think I’ve looked before.

Hey planta- any help ID-ing this baby? Got it as a teeny tiny thing and have no idea what it was. This is about 2 yr old, the leaves vary from long and skinny to short and chonky. Some guesses: Devil’s backbone? Some kind of crassula? Something about fingers? Some kind of cotyledon?
