I recently moved into my college dorm, and suddenly my croton is losing leaves, and there seem to be some dark patches growing on some of the leaves? Does anyone know if this some type of fungus or anything I should be concerned about? This plant has never lost leaves or had any of these growths in the time that I’ve had it until now.
I recently bought and potted these plants in these adorable glass mushroom mugs (bc they are too fragile for actual coffee drinking imo). Plus the chives in the terracotta; also no drainage). They have no drainage, but I read that to "imitate" drainage I could put rocks at the bottom under dirt. Do you think this would be beneficial? Or do you have anything else I should add as well? Or other suggestions! I just really love these mugs and want to use them. Plants: String of Pearls (has some rocks mixed with soil), Lucky Bamboo, Spider Plant, and Purple Waffle Plant
Crape Myrtle new growth different color Hi everyone, I’m brand new to gardening and I recently planted a crape Myrtle with purple leaves. However, as it’s settled in, it has grown like crazy with long branches and green leaves. Is the different color normal and should I be pruning these branches? It looks like the leaves are getting some discoloration towards the tips.

Is there a way to use pots that’s don’t have drainage holes? I have a couple of cute pots I’d like to use but I have a spider plant that is not doing well in a pot without good drainage. Can I replant in a cup with will fit inside?

Help!! I don’t want to chop off her babies but I don’t think I’ve got much choice 😭😭… that being said if I did chop then I’m limited as to where her babies can go 🤦🏼♀️

I’m going to a plant trade next month and I would like to start to propagate some of my plants so they are ready to trade next month. I am looking to propagate my Calathea Dottie and was wondering if you could propagate it in water or does it have to be in soil?
What should I do with this cilantro plant?? She’s so droopy and doesn’t seem to be getting better I just repotted her into a bigger pot from her nursery pot but I seen other ones that look a lot different with thicker stems and mine has a bunch of really thin ones 😩 (This is two small plants I planted together) the bottom two pictures are what they looked like when I brought them home, weeks ago
So my aunt gave me a monstera deliciosa baby, but I was watching about plant care and they said that if the plant is in a pot that’s too big it can cause root rot so I decided to repot her into a smaller pot, however when I took her out I noticed she didn’t have any roots so I looked it up online and propagation should be done in water so I washed her up and put her in a small cup. Are there any tips in making this work? I really don’t want her to die.
Hi everyone 👋 I had a question regarding P. Micans Aurea and how easy of a plant it is to grow and resale. A local seller in my area is giving nodes that look to be pretty variegated of micans aurea for $10 a piece. Would this be a worthwhile investment? I know people sell 2-3 leaf plants of these for around $50-70 so I see the upside if I am able to grow those to that point. What I am unsure of is how finicky is this variety of micans? It would be unfortunate to do what i’ve done to have success with other wetsticks for this one to just die or produce non variegated leaves. Thank you so much!
I bought a calathea ,didn’t realize it’s a hard plant for beginners! The app says to water it in 10 days but other sources say every day, what do I do??!

Hi again. Is this group only for those with house plants? If so, sorry about all my posts about outdoor gardening 🧑🌾. And here’s another question. I posted in the pests group but that looks indoor too. So am I crazy 🤪 or could wasps be eating the leaves 🍃 of my plum cherry 🍒 trees and grapevines? I see them in the 🌳 trees but it never occurred to me that they eat plant material. Could that be true?!!! 🤔😳
Monstera is acting up! She is the surviving pieces from a fall incident! I had her in water and she rooted nicely but the leaves just giving “blah” vibes… Any advice on getting her to adjust her attitude? She’s in a well drained pot, in new clean soil mix and under a grow light… I talk to her every day but she’s acting like my teenage daughter!!! Thank you for any advice 🍃💚🪴❤️🙏🤗
Just had to share my excitement!!! I brought a dying Texas Sage Tree heavily discounted at my local supermarket I took the risk that it would survive in Eastern PA… This morning I’m leaving for work & excitedly yelled… “OMG SHE HAS FLOWERS!!” Grandson was so confused!!! lol
