Hi guys! My Echeveria is acting weird, and I need some help. Itâs wilty and soft like itâs underwater but then 2 leaves have turned yellow like itâs been overwatered. Itâs under a grow light for 12 hours a day and has been doing great, until now. Should I bottom water it and give it a nice soak? Let me know what you guys think. Any advice appreciated! Thank you!! đ
Iâm so excited! My orchid decided sheâs going to flower again! These are the first flowers since she came to live with us, and I canât wait to see them đ
Hello! Iâve been a florist for a few months at a store and wish to expand my knowledge of both flowers and potted plants! I also happen to have a new puppy and was hoping for advice on choosing pet friendly plantsđ
happy wednesday everyone!! i am looking for some recommendations. first has anyone had luck keeping cat grass alive? my poor archie is just not doing well. any tips? also what are everyoneâs recommendations on a budget friendly potting soil? looking forward to hearing thoughts thank you!
Does anyone know why my spider plant keeps doing this? The leaves keep flopping and feel paper thin now rather than rubbery? Is it overwatering? I water once a week cos the soil usually gets bone dry all the way through after just a couple days, so I feel the need to water once a week, but is that too much? Or is it something else? Please excuse the mess in the backgroundđ«Ł
Need some guidance⊠just acquired this stripped dracaena, rubber plant, and moth orchid. Iâve had the Bonsai over a year now. I need advice on repotting them with pots with drainage and any other tip will highly take into consideration! đ I got the water scheduling down.. and tips on fertilizers is needed. Have a wonderful day !
Has anyone else ever found packing peanuts in their soil before? I had my 30-year-old jade plant repotted by my local nursery back in May, and recently it started losing some leaves. I went to check the roots and soil and found that instead of any perlite, there was two handfuls of packing peanuts stuffed in with the soil. Iâve never had issues with this nursery. Their plants have always been in great condition, so Iâm curious if anyone else has used or found packing peanuts (yes, the styrofoam ones) in their soil, and why. I decided to remove the peanuts completely as they ended up blocking the drainage holes at the bottom, but Iâm curious to hear anyone elseâs experiences with it.

So need some plant experts on this one (Iâm somewhere on the intermediate level as far as plants are concerned - I have around 50+ plants and have several in self watering pots that are doing phenomenal). However, I know self watering pots are controversial in the plant community LOL - but wondering if in this case putting a Aglaonema in one was a bad idea & if itâs causing rot?đ€ itâs a very contradicting situation cause: 1. I cut off about a dozen âyellowing leavesâ (photo below) today. 2.it also has a ton of new growth which makes me think itâs fine but might need to be watered less? (Note: I water it every 12 days instead of every week to account for the extra water at the bottom itâs soaking up).
I have a spot where the closest window (which is HUGE) is probably around 5 meters away, any plant suggestions for that spot? Mostly hanging plants please because I have two little kitty monsters
Anyone have a good amount of experience with scindapsusâs? This is my 3rd attempt at having one & Iâm having issues with the leaves curling & the plant eventually dying or to the point where it just looks awful - does that mean it needs more water or is it perhaps another issue? I got the one in the pic 6+ months ago & itâs doing okay since I repotted a few months ago in a chunkier tropical soil mix, but not as good as Iâd like - still noticing some curling leaves & really small new growth! (note: have it on a 6 day watering schedz about 1ft away from an east facing window so it should be getting a good amount of morning light).
Quick question! Iâm looking for something to buy to create more space on my windowsill for my plants. I have pretty narrow windowsills all throughout my house, and sadly my dad is the one that lucked out with all the south windows in his room, leaving me with one little south windowsill to work with on the first floor. Does anyone have anything theyâve used to extend a windowsill, or any shelving item that theyâve bought to stick to a window? TIA! I have a fast growing Jade plant thatâs quickly outgrowing its spot, but I donât wanna move her from the âsucculent cornerâ I have that I use as a nice display of my plants that everyone can see through the window of the front of our house when people come in.
I am starting to branch out into some more unusual plants. I got my philodendron Florida ghost in the mail today and I couldnât be more excited!! Any tips on how to care for this beauty would be much appreciated. My plan for now is to basically treat it like my pink princess.
A grasshopper got into the house and ate my plant. Is there anything I can use indoors to protect my plants?
help. peacock plant not looking too good.
Does anyone know why this is happening? đđ
I repotted a Rex begonia & it is really REALLY wilty going on 2 days now. Will it bounce back? Is this a dramatic plant like fittonias? Does anyone have any tips with this plant? I canât find hardly any specific info on its characteristics. It was so pretty before paranoid me thought it couldâve been suffering from overwatering/rot.
Help! I was looking at my monstera propagation and I noticed a cloudy like substance near the end. I change the water weekly. But I donât want it to be mold or something that will harm it. What is it? And should I remove it? Any other tips appreciated! Thank you!! đ
How do I care for basil? She was up and perky at the store but now sheâs droopy đ©
