what’s going on with my peacock plant??? i keep her in bright indirect light and water with distilled water when the soil starts to dry out. am i doing something wrong??

I’m new here. Are flowers different from the leaves on basil? I’ve been advised to pinch the flowers to keep it healthy. In fact I’m unsure about pinching buds or flowers on some of my other plants too. I know this is a very basic thing I should know but I don’t.

🤓Poll of the day: What is success to you as a plant parent? What is failure as a plant parent? My take on it: Success to me is anytime I have learned something about a plant, even if its what NOT to do next time. Even if a plant has died in my care, but I learned why, thats success! Failure to me is repeating the same mistake 3 times without having learned it the first 2. AND learning nothing due to lazy lack of research, or lazy lack of doing what I learned.

I’ve acquired SO many plants since I bought my very first plant in December- 6 months later and I’m at 44 and counting! Finding them the best home and design is an ongoing (but very fun!) challenge… I stumbled upon this setup that makes me feel so happy every time I walk in my room! The lemon lime maranta is my favorite plant and the only intentional placement but the rest fell in line nicely!

What is this? My plant identifier says it is a live oak, or a Chinese Holly- but it doesn’t look like it. I kinda need help right now before it gets to big- if it is something that gets too huge.

Fiddle leaf fig tree has Root rot or bacteria? Watering regularly when 2 “ soil feel dry. Nursery Soil mix was changed about 2 months ago with formulated soil mix for flf from Perfect Plants. He is next to my living room window (west) and has a growing light. He has lot of new growths , some with edema.
