Does anyone keep plants in their basement? I live in Michigan and am trying to liven up my basement space. I have 10+ houseplants I keep upstairs and it improves the mood so much. The basement is just a bit drafty, and the windows let in some light- but not much. Would I just be setting the plant up for a quick death? Any thoughts or ideas that have worked?
I asked for 1 money tree for Christmas and I got 2 money trees and like 7 other plants! Iâm a beginner and Iâm afraid theyâre all gonna die before I can figure out how to take care of them. My living room has 4 bug east facing windows so itâs a very sunny room but idk where I can put the âmedium lightâ plants to make them happy. Will they be too dry in the window sill? I need help understanding which parts of this room are good for lots of light, medium light and low light or if some donât have enough light at all. I marked the areas with colorful circles in case that helps.

will this peperomia raindrop ever recover and grow again? itâs my favourite and this last week all 9 leaves just went and i had to repot it yesterday, and now the last leaf just snapped off.
Hi all. Thereâs something wrong with my Swedish ivy. She seems to be losing leaves and they feel quite soggy. I donât know what happened. I havenât repotted her or done anything different and she was fine for the longest time up until now (first pic is of when she was healthy) Please help. :(

Got some new babies today. The love of my life got me a new plant stand for Christmas so I had to get some new plants for my new stand!
My 2 plant gifts from my kids. One I asked for- the alocasia frydek variegated but the other beauty was a surprise the Anthurium clarinervium. My daughter in law had to bring them on plane from CO to CA. I have them under lights with a humidifier. I hope they thrive.
My pilea seems healthy and even has a pup. But Iâm curious why itâs not full like others Iâve seen. It will sometimes lose a lower leaf branch and they donât grow back. So it now looks more elongated than full. Is this just normal and how they are? Will it take more pups to give it that fuller look?
Alright plant lovers, I need some help! Bernie (my Boston fern over here) is shedding like mad and seems to be yellowing across the whole plant (more in the underside, you can see it on the right closer to the lamp). What can I do to help it thrive? This is my first plant to give me any kind of trouble and I really want to save it before itâs too late đđ» All feedback is welcome đ€âš
My marbles queen pothos suffered from what I think was spider mites. It lost a lot of leaves. I think the mites are gone but what can I do to help it recover? Should I chop and propagate just in case?

Hi all! I decided to pick up plants as a hobby this summer, and now Iâm finally ready to buy more plants. I know when you buy plants, you need to separate them to make sure they are healthy and not going to infect your plantsâŠ. How do you do that? I donât have tons of space in my house, and even less with nice windows for light, and our garage isnât well insulated nor heated (we live in MN so itâs cold) to isolate the plants. Any advice?
What is my son & DIL doing wrong?? Plant in south facing windows.. overwatering or under watering or something else?? I started chopping off the dead leaves and no sign of pests ..and the new leaf is pale and limp

can someone tell me what the heck is going on with my zz plant đđźâđš the leaves were starting to look light green / almost yellow so i was like let me check the roots (which are total mush)⊠what are these bulbs? also in the second picture in the center it looks like a popped bulb? all i can do is laugh. iâm pretty good at keeping things alive but of course one of my âeasierâ plants decides to do this LOL
