We have some exciting updates to share about the app. With the release of iOS 17, Apple challenged developers to create more interactive widgets (and we know you've been asking as well), so Planta has done just that! To add a widget: 1. Ensure that you have iOS 17 installed on your device. 2. Swipe right on your screen to access the widget page. 3. Long-press on the screen. 4. Tap the plus button in the top-left corner, and scroll until you find the Planta app. 5. Choose the widget that best suits your needs, or you can even have all the widgets at once. 6. You can opt to keep them grouped on the widget page or drag them onto your app screen. Let us know what you think and if you have any questions.

Anyone have tips for keeping a fig tree alive indoors? I couldn’t resist even though I know it has no place in a NYC apartment. I tried applying a grow light but it got VERY unhappy and lost most of its leaves. I’m worried I’m just attending by its death bed at this point.

I got this mass cane and pothos a couple months ago. I think it needs to be repotted but I’m not sure how to do that since there’s multiple plants in here! Any advice?? I think I want to separate them.

How would you recommend I repot this beauty? What soil mix would be the best? I’ve only ever done repotting for indoor plants before and this one lives on my balcony. Is there anything that will keep bugs / pests away? I’m open to any recommendations. This plantie has also outgrown its pot so I’m looking to split it / propagate it as well. (If that makes any changes to the recommendations)

So I got this monster of an aloe plant from my Mother.. it’s a giant and was growing sideways outta the pot. I repositioned it but it’s still leaning hard. My question would be- is it safe to break off the drooping ones or should I leave it alone? Within a few days it’s sprouted new growth..

So! This Alocassia Polly broke my soul, left me with her orphans and I kept the pot because I was upset, lazy and one root looked like it had signs of life. Well, hell, I thought I was seeing things, but he is back. Probably to kill my soul, but, don't give up! There is hope! He wants to be truly neglected! Got it!
