So I got this monster of an aloe plant from my Mother.. it’s a giant and was growing sideways outta the pot. I repositioned it but it’s still leaning hard. My question would be- is it safe to break off the drooping ones or should I leave it alone? Within a few days it’s sprouted new growth..

I usually cut the not so great looking leaves off of my aloe and it makes a big difference in how it looks

I don’t know much about them honestly, but after some research it says they are water logged when they drop but it doesn’t feel extremely mushy so I’m not sure.

Love it! Have you repotted it recently, or checked the roots? The way the new growth is coming out makes me think it’s an offshoot—a baby aloe! If it’s big enough with its own roots you may be able to carefully pull it from its mother and give it a new pot for a home! I would also check to make sure the soil is dry between waterings and has enough drainage. Aerate the soil by poking holes with a chopstick.

Thanks for the advice! I haven’t reported it but it’s probably time.

Is it doing better ? My Aloe “Aliceson” is having the same issues. Drooping to one side but yet still making babies.

My aloe was also leaning heavily. I repotted it in a taller pot.
