Another leaf has yellowed. I’m so worried about it. It had a yellow leaf before like this, though it was smaller, but it ended up just shriveling up and falling off. Also it isn’t just the leaf but the stem too. The whole thing just fell off with a small tug. Now it’s happening to one of the bigger ones. Anybody know what I can do?? This is my favorite plant 🪴🥲
ALSO how do I repot this kind of plant? It barely has enough soil and I don’t want it to just fall apart.

Hey plant friends. So I have a question and would
Love some help. I recently purchased a pretty funny flower pot that is for a gift for a good mom friend of mine. It needs a plant but something that can withstand being over watered excessively. I will add rocks to help it drain well and I’m well aware that plants need to dry out to prevent rot and pests. This is a pot that is a little boy that when drains it goes potty. I know her kiddos will love it but absolutely will over water it even with the best intention from their momma.
What plants have you had experience or know of that could withstand too much water? Picture is of the back of the pot I don’t want to offend anyone. 😂🫣
Oh and it’s could hold a good 6” potted plant.

Finding new ways to combat pests is crucial for plant enthusiasts like us.
Recently, I faced a significant thrips outbreak among my beloved houseplants and wanted to share my experience in dealing with it.
First, when facing a severe infestation, it's vital to assess the situation. I inspected all of my plants and decided which ones were salvageable. Unfortunately, some had to be discarded to have less plants to treat.
For the surviving plants, especially those heavily damaged or oversized, I pruned them back and took cuttings to give them a fresh start and make them more manageable.
Then, I tackled the thrips by thoroughly removing the soil and rinsing the roots under running water to eliminate any remaining pests and their pupae in the soil.
Next, I prepared a bath for my plants, mixing water with neem oil, rubbing alcohol, and soap. Neem oil acts as a natural pesticide, rubbing alcohol kills pests on contact, and the soap breaks down their protective coatings. I soaked the plants in this solution for a few hours to ensure thorough treatment.
Afterward, I showered the plants, repotted them into fresh soil and clean pots to prevent reinfestation. I also cleaned the surrounding areas in my house where I kept my plants to remove any lingering pests.
To safeguard my plants from future thrips invasions, I introduced predatory mites, natural thrips predators. Regularly releasing these beneficial insects once a month has maintained a pest-free environment for my plants. I also shower my plants from time to time to clean their leaves and to remove any potential pests.
While my plants thrived without any thrips in sight for months, towards the end of this summer, a few managed to sneak in, likely due to my open balcony door next to my largest plant collection and pausing the predatory mites. This serves as a reminder that vigilance and regular maintenance are essential in the ongoing battle against pests on your house plants.
In conclusion, drowning pests can be an effective method for severe infestations, but it's crucial to follow up with proper care and preventive measures to maintain healthy, pest-free plants.
Happy planting! 🌿🪴

Helpppp. What’s going on with my string of pearls 😫😫 she use to be plump and beautiful. She is outside with part shade part sun. She was doing soooo good all summer. One morning I walk out and I found her with deflated pearls that were crispy and some half eaten 🙃

Hi. I have had a few Sensitive plants in the past that I have killed. My daughter and I each got one last week and I put mine in a terrarium. I have been successful with numerous difficult plants when in terrariums. However both ours are already looking kinda bad. Any advice appreciated. We are sad.

So my outdoor arrangement of petunias and dahlias with a spike in the center are kaput for the season except the spike in the center still looks really good. I decided to repot them and try them as house plants (there are two in the pot) . What do you think? Will they survive the winter? Has anyone else done this successfully? I think this is dracaena indivisa however that is not in Plant's database. So I'm not sure how to label it on the app. Help?

Earlier I posted about trying to start two Spinach in both a soda can and water bottle. The Can did very well but the Bottle didn’t sprout. Two days ago, I replanted.
Today I planted some sweet basil in a water bottle. I’ll update when it sprouts
