i just got a pitcher plant but donât know what kind it is. can you help me?
hey there, iâm something of an expert when it comes to houseplants, and i just wanted to say i see a lot of half-truths and flat out lies spread on this platform since i started looking around. i really want to encourage everyone to take the time to do individual research and not just believe what some random planta user tells you. itâs also important to keep in mind that what may be true for one person and one plant, is likely not true for another because of the difference in environment and personal habits. good luck out there and happy planting đ±
there was a pretty bad storm last night and my dahlia got taken out. i found these as iâm re planting her, are they bulbs??
Anyone know what this means? The rest of the plant looks ok and it just put out two new leaves

Does anybody know how to influence your aloe Vera to produce pups I have had this huge aloe for a while and it would be great if she could produce some pups for me
Good Morning! This sweet baby almost died, Iâm pretty sure the usual suspect: me overwatering. I repotted her (I realize now I out her in a pot thatâs at least 47 sizes too big) but she almost immediately starting growing lots of leaves wicked fast!!!!! When I repotted only the two that I want to talk about today existed. My question is, those two that are curlingâŠis it too much direct sun? I have her right in the windowâŠ.maybe itâs too much? Tysm!
My first bloom on a Hoya! There were more like 10 flowers on the peduncle to begin with, but some got knocked off during a storm and others dried up and fell off before opening đ The flowers smell like tootsie rolls đ
had a plant oops. I put my air plant in water submerged before work, with full intent to remove her after 15 minutes. I walked out the door and 12 hours later realized that she was still in the bowl of water. Am I going to kill her? I have her upside down under a grow light now. Hoping for the best.
Any idea what kind of plant this is? I think itâs an Alocasia, not sure of the variety. Planta identification didnât seem very accurate
Iâm looking to repot my new peperomia frosted and I thought I had the perfect pot for it! Turns out the pot is terracotta but is glazed on the inside with zero drainage. Id prefer not to keep it in the nursery pot it came in because it sticks of the pot I have currently and Iâm not sure I can find something that will work due to the shape of the pot. Has anyone had success potting peperomias in pot with no drainage? I currently have another smaller Peperomia in a pot with zero drainage but the new plant is much larger and Iâm not sure if itâll be okay. Help is appreciated!!!
I left my job last year to work full time in a nursery and itâs been the best thing ever. Look at this beautiful begonia I snagged for $9 đ
I need to buy a pot for these guys đ definitely ready to get out of water
Itâll be my first to grow from seeds and cuttings. Wish me luck!
hey everyone, iâm begging for help. my fittonia is being watered generously on a set schedule, sits by a humidifier to increase its humidity, and receives adequate light. how can i prevent the leaves from wilting and getting crispy (like the leaves on the bottom left)?
Has anyone used leaf shine on an anthurium or alocasia? Any recommendations on brands? Or should I not risk it and only dust them off with microfiber
