Hey there everyone! I was hoping someone could tell me what kind of plant this is? When I scan this plant it keeps coming up as a pothos but that doesnât seem right. Any help would be appreciated!

PPFD Question! I am new to the plant game and am trying to figure out the best placements for my plants within my room. I have a south- and west- facing window in my bedroom. The south-facing window has another white apartment building right next to it, about 30 feet away, so I donât believe it gets the full sun it otherwise would. However, the west-facing window is completely unobstructed. Iâve used light meters on my phone (specifically Photone) to attempt to gauge the PPFD readings in order to put my plants where theyâd be the happiest, but the readings just donât seem to add up to me and Iâm so confused. When I put my phone/meter directly up to my west-facing window at the sunniest time of the day for that window (shown in second image, at 5pm), the highest reading I get is 122 umol/m^2/s, which is like âmoderate light,â except itâs when itâs direct sun. When I pull back even a foot from the window, it falls to ~15-20 umol/m^2/s. So for my plants that canât handle direct sunlight, I feel I have no options as to where I can place them for adequate âbright, indirect light.â Any suggestions? Is my light meter possibly off?

Okay so Iâve had this guy for a couple of years now and I still havenât been able to completely figure out what kind of Opuntia it is. This is how it has been growing in full sun, so itâs not etiolating. Iâd appreciate any ideas!

First photos youâll see some buggers. What do I do? Thereâs like three leaves that have these along with small brown dots on the leaf. On the last photo, all the other leaves look ok. What do I do? Is this bad?? I bought this 5 days ago and these little buggers werenât here. Havenât watered it yet. Supposed to water it by tomorrow or so. What should I do to make sure it doesnât get worse

Does anyone use pebbles or other decorative materials (or even hydroponics pebbles) as a top layer to cover the potting mix around their houseplants? I only use them for succulents, but Iâd like to do it to the plants that have plain soil exposedâpartially because I think it will minimize those annoying little flies and partially because I think it will look nicer. Or will this harm the plants in some way? Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated! đ

I had to âbeheadâ my jade plant. I let it callous for a few days then replanted the cutting in its own pot. The bottom leaves look strange. They have brown areas on the ends and some of the ends have flattened. They have lost their plumpness. They are under a grow light but this plant has always been under a grow light. I have sticks holding the jade up as this cutting is very full and top heavy. I was planning on leaving the sticks in until it has grown strong roots and can hold itself up. Is this plant sun burned?

I repotted my peace lily on 5/23 into better draining soil (potting soil, orchid bark, perlite, & moss) & itâs still drooping pretty bad⊠Iâve been giving it plenty of indirect sunlight & Iâm keeping up with the watering schedule. The top soil is dry but bottom half is still plenty damp. Any other suggestions?

Halp!! Does anyone know why my croton leaves have fallen off all the sudden? I moved it to a window that gets direct sunlight so maybe that was it? Donât think I over watered, if anything I probably under. Is it salvageable?

Hey! does anyone have an tips on shaping a Philodendron Congo Green? I live in an apartment in NYC and this plant just takes up so much room. I tried to keep it in a corner and let it grow to one side but then it was getting to heavy. as you can see, it sprawls out a lot and Iâm debating pruning the lower, more horizontal leaves cause theres new leaves coming in. LMK what you think
