I always see people name this plant as one who gives them a hard time & I can relate bc I killed my first one đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł After that I decided to try again & put it in a terrarium— now I hardly ever water it yet it’s thriving! Its grown to the top, so I chopped it & stuck it back in & it continued to grow đŸŒ± The roots are crazzzyyyy which makes me wonder if I’ll have to repot it, but since it’s not dying I’m not messing with it.

Do yall think she’s ready for a bigger pot? I watered about a week ago and the soil is still kinda moist but not too moist. I know they prefer to dry out but it’s on the schedule for watering tomorrow. What y’all think?

My fiddle leaf fig is starting to lean now that it’s getting taller. What’s everyone’s favorite support for these? Or do I need to cut it? I like the height so I’d rather not yet if I don’t have to.

Help! How do you all protect your potted plants from the heavy rains of the summer thunderstorms? I don’t have any covered areas outside around my house at all (just plenty of shade from trees). The severity of the rain nearly damages the smallest ones and I’m afraid I’m killing them with overwater!

I am trying to figure out which Dieffenbachia plant this is. The closest I can come to is the “Amy” variety. However, she seems to have too much green in her leaves to be an Amy. Any clarifications? TIA! Regards. 😊💚đŸȘŽ

My begonia lowkey sucks. It’s 2 separate cuttings that started at the base of the leaf. In the past few months I haven’t been able to get it to grow and keep new leaves. It grows well in height but I can’t get anything else to stay. Today one of my OG leaves fell off and now I just have a stick. It gets prolly 5 hours of sun a day, indoor on the southeast side of the house, and in Texas. Please help haha

Hey y’all I’m hoping you can help with Julia here, she’s been getting brown spots and slightly dry spots, she’s a pothos marble queen and I’m wondering if this is a normal problem or not? Any advice would help, thanks in advance! Ps this time it’s not kitty bites cuz she is hung way above where my lil’ monsters could reach 😂

Can you tell me what the name of each of these dieffenbachias is? Planta identified them both as “Sterling”??? I don’t think either of them is a “Sterling” variety. But what are they? TXS for any info! 😊💚đŸȘŽ

Nishith

🌿 Hello everyone! 👋 I'm excited to join this group! My name is Nishith and I'm from Austin, TX. Lately, I've been diving into plant care and I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with all of you. I'm currently planning my patio and backyard garden and would love some advice on outdoor plants and trees that thrive in our Austin climate. I've been eyeing a Myrtle tree and a cherry tree, but I'm unsure if they'll do well here. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to connecting with fellow plant enthusiasts and growing some green goodness together. đŸŒ±đŸ’š

Has anyone tried to hydroponically grow an aphelandra zebra before? This is the most dramatic plant I have and I feel I water her about every two days
😭 not a bad thing, but wondering if she’d be happier in full time water instead of soil.
