BOTTOM WATERING, I need some help! Iâve just started watering like this and yesterday when I checked these plants soil moisture levels, I found that a couple of my plants registered in the mid 50% to a high level of 59%! That really worried me! I donât usually water my moisture loving plants until they reach at least a mid 30% or lower level of moisture. Do some of these moisture loving plants like to stay at these high levels? I am so worried I am going to kill them with this time saving watering method. Any opinions? TIA for any help! đ€đđȘŽ PS. I have included two pictures of my small plants in plastic trays that are drinking water and additives and a picture of a large plant in a decorative pot that is drinking water from the pot itself. Just a few examples of the many plants for which I am using this method.
I bought this variegated Burle Marx cutting back in February. The roots have grown over the months and the plant is super healthy but there have been no signs of new growth. Does anyone know if this is one of those spent notes? Should I cut off the leaf to encourage new growth?
Hello all, favor to ask. I have this gorgeous Thanksgiving Cactus that Iâve had for many years. Itâs huge and every fall it blooms like crazy. In the summers I put it outside under a tree so it gets minimal direct sunlight and itâs thrived. The end of last years summer vacation I noticed that something has taken several chunks out of it. So I brought it in and it still bloomed. This summer I put it back in its summer location and recently noticed more bites out of it and some pieces lying on the ground near it. If you look closely at these pictures youâll see white tips, those are the sections that have been eaten. Any ideas of what could possibly be eating my special cactus???? Iâve tried the spray that was recommended but that didnât seem to stop it. So Iâve moved it to my back deck right against the house and havenât seen any more damage. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Has this rooted? First time propagating

Whatâs happening with my Anthurium plant, I see yellow and brown leaves and they slowly fall off. I water them weekly once with 6 ice cubes as directed. Did not repot it yet, itâs been only a month since I got it. Right now, I have it on a north facing window trim. Can someone help with recommendations on how to save this plant.
Iâm still new to spider plants and Iâm struggling to understand where the baby begins?đ€Ł Is it the bottom part of the stem that Iâd cut or would I propagate from each part of the stem where the leaf starts to grow? Or is it just the very top? I have no clueđ€Ł any help?
Omg itâs happening already!!! 4.5 months since I planted the seeds (18 weeks to be exact) I didnât expect to even see strawberries until next year!
Am I the only one who sees a plant, yeits it in their cart, and đđœââïž to checkout???
I have this ctenanthe burle marxii in my study that I absolutely adore, but it is my only plant that is only in water and I am at a loss. It is only in purified water and gets plenty of indirect sunlight, but I am not sure how to give it nutrients. Any tips on what fertilizers to use and how often for water culture?
Iâm wanting to make my own chunky soil mix. Whatâs everyone suggestions? I keep having problems with gnats because my soil doesnât drain well. I bought miracle grow indoor plant soil and perlite but I would like to make it chunkier. Thanks in advance!
i snipped this off of a friends plant and iâm wondering what it might be. any tips for it is appreciated!
What kind of plant is this?
Have I gone crazy?
Is this good for root growth when propagating?
Should we uproot this tree?: This is most likely a white walnut tree that is growing in our patio. It has started becoming invasive and out of control. We would appreciate any helpful suggestions or sharing. Thanks đ
I was weeding my front flowerbeds a couple of weeks ago when I ran across a âweedâ that had a familiar tri-lobed leaf shape. Three days prior to that I had purchased maypops for a trellis I was planning for the back yard so recognized the leaf immediately. Sure enough, the weed turned out to be a âgiftâ from the birds. I dug it up and potted it. It got really droopy and I was sure I left too many of it roots in the ground when I dug it up. Last week I was gone for about 5 days and came home to a plant that had doubled in size and is actually doing better than the cuttings that I had paid for!
Polka Dot Plant question: I repotted this plant a few weeks ago from its 2â nursery pot to this ceramic one. Iâve kept it watered according to the schedule and have read it needs low light to keep its variegation. But it seems to be struggling with losing/wilting leaves, etc and Iâm not sure why. Any suggestions??
Found this bug on my succulents and I have no idea what it is! Can anyone help identify it? Is it harmful to my plants?
