I have a question about bottom watering and also using a humidifier. I primarily have peperomia plants and started bottom watering them. I have been filling a dish washing bin with about 2 inches of water and placing them in it. All of the pots have drainage holes. From what I’ve read it was recommended to leave them in the water for about a half hour. When I leave them in for that long the top two inches of soil are still dry. Should I just leave them in longer? Do I wait until the top of the soil feels moist? Am I doing something wrong? Also, are there any indoor plants that shouldn’t be bottom watered? I ordered a humidifier that is supposed to arrive today from Amazon. I was going to put it on one of the shelves of my plant shelving unit. (Pictured). Does it need to be a specific distance from the all my plants? I was concerned if I put it on a shelf it would be too close to the plants. This shelf is near my bed, too, so it would be helpful for me.

I bought a set of new plants from Facebook Marketplace and they’re looking so cute! I’ve sprayed them down with neem oil and they’re in quarantine for now. How long should they stay there? This is my first time quarantining new plants and I’m not sure how to tell when they’re all clear. Plants: manjula pothos, marble queen, philo birkin, pearls & jade

Hello, my avocado plant is starting to grow roots out of the drainage holes of her pot, and I want to repot her into a bigger pot. But I am not sure if the big pot will end up being too big and cause root rot. The dimensions of the current pot is 11cm diameter x 8cm depth and the other pot which I am planning to repot to is 15cm diameter x 14 cm depth. Thanks :)!

I was wondering if anyone knows why my Calathea has tiny brown spots on the tips of her leaves. Any advice would be really appreciated! I feel like overall she is a happy plant but there’s always room for improvement :)

I need help identifying this begonia. I was told it was a coccinea but that doesn't come up in the app. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yikessss
So I got this Monstera Albo cutting a while ago and it took forever to root, but almost immediately after rooting it started to shoot out a new baby leaf. While this normally would be great, I noticed that the leaf wasn’t shooting out of the ONE section on the stem with WAAAYYY too much white so now the leaf looks like this, with about 95% white and 5% green. 😭 I’m hoping that the next leaf will have more green on it because that side of the stem has green stripes, but does anyone know how to keep this leaf alive long enough to get the next one here? Should I increase light? Decrease light? Change humidity? I’ll do anything! Thank you!

hello everyone!!! I just scored a massive deal on this beautiful monstera!!! It’s my second one and I’d like some care tips! I added a stake (I plan a moss pole in the future but can afford currently) And I have trimmed back any broken or sickly looking leaves!!! I will be repotting and propagating in the future but would like to know anything else I could do before then?
