I’m the new kid on the plant-ation. A week ago I had never heard of Crotons. I picked up this Gold Dust croton from Home De-pot, and she has burst into color. I call her Nugget.

This lil guy has appeared in my Monstera Deliciosa 🍄 Now I think he’s kinda cute 🥰 however yesterday morning he was nothin more than a mere tip peeking thru the soil surface & now he’s a good 7cm tall 😳 Can I just leave it be or is this likely to be problematic? Also, when should I expect the leaves to start having ’holes’? The entire plant is around 50cm tall now & every leaf is solid. I figured the higher leaves would start forming gaps to let light hit the lower leaves but so far, nothing. Last point, is that my first air root developing? (lower left of far left stem). Should I be doing anything to help it on its way? Sorry, so many Noobie questions xxx 😚

Does this old pot look too tall for this new guy? I don’t want to have issues with overwatering!

Hi! New to growing African Violets. I bought this one off of facebook marketplace and it already seems to have brown spots. Can I add the ‘Clean Kelp seaweed fertilizer’ or does it have to be a violet specific one. Hoping I can help it grow. The newer leaves are not damaged so that good.

Saved this Christmas cactus (I think?) from my mom (she’s not the best with plants) 😅 Any advice is appreciated. I’m not normally a cactus/succulent person, but I would love to see it bloom.

Any tips and tricks with plants and moving ? I’m moving to a place about 10 min away from where i’m at now. it’s shouldn’t be too hard but anything will be helpful !

The app is telling me this is a Chinese evergreen. I am just curious if I can chop the top off and propagate, and get rid of the stalk that has no leaves. I don’t know much about said plant because it was given to me by a family member. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!! There’s another pic in the comments 👍 😊

My Raven ZZ arrived today & the Rhizome/bulb/root is exposed a little. Should it be like this or should I pop a bit of houseplant compost in to cover it? Thanks in advance 🙏

hi all!! i just recently bought two plants for my windowless office, a golden pothos and a peace lily, as they were advertised as low-light plants and i thought they’d survive the best. do you think they’d be alright with a sunlight therapy lamp’s ambient light? i’m worried about killing them, but am planning on shining the light on them a few hours a day to make up for the lack of light. edit: if those might not do very well, which plants would you reccomend?

Does anyone know what kind of plant this is? My mom gave it to me and said it was a begonia. The leaf shape looks like one but I’m not sure what kind of begonia it would be.

Recently got a Venus fly trap and I’m wondering what to feed the guy? Should I buy little bugs from the pet store? Would it be okay to go out in my front yard and find little bugs? Also, should I place it next to my humidifier even tho I’m keeping it sitting in water all the time?
