Hello everyone. Iâm new to plants so any recommendations anyone can give me iâd be happy to take! I bought this plant about a week ago and it was doing very well. I watered it once (the day it was bought) and i havenât again since iâve read they need a water about every 15 days⊠so iâve been worried to water again and overwater it. As iâm so new to being a plant mom iâm unsure of what the problem would be and iâd be interested to hear feedback from you. :)

Hey all learning question!
I repotted my philo billie because I noticed that there were roots on top of the soil and the top roots were drying out before the bottom roots. So we repotted from 8â to 10â I just want someone to look at this root system and tell me if this looks okay? I have read root trot is brown and these are kind of brown but not mushy, some of them are fuzzy as well! Thanks all for educating me

So I walk in the exam room at the doctorâs office and I see this spider plant. I notice all the pups and rush over to it. I was going to ask my doc if I could have one or two. đ€ I got close and um, itâs a fake!! I laughed so hard at my own disappointment! Iâm not for fake plants but kudos to the creator for making it so legit that it has pups. đ€Ł

So, I just repotted these three. They were clippings in a porcelain pot that I believe was making it sick and only had one drainage hole. I do not over water her at all because I know these Swiss cheese ones donât want a bunch. How do I help her from here?? Sheâs in a 6in pot which idk if itâs the right size but it has long roots. Thanks in advance!

Waiting on the temperature to rise 30°F back to normal winter daytime levels to put some plants outside again. đ„¶

Help me please! This is my syngonium. I just got it a few weeks ago and it seemed to be doing fine. The other day it was due for watering and after watering it wilted. Yesterday it was perking up again but this morning I found it like this. What should I do?? Should I remove that main piece and can I put it in water to root? It looks like it just broke off.

Since it's the Year of the Snake according to the Chinese calendar, we have been discussing which plant looks the most like a snake, and we have three finalists:
(A) Euphorbia caput-medusae
(B) Sansevieria trifasciata
(C) Kleinia stapeliiformis
Which one is the most snake-looking, A, B or C?

Basic question .... in the plant app it asks you to put in size of plant. I assume this relates to reporting and water amount etc but it doesn't say HOW to measure them. Height? Width?

Iâve seen recently that some people have crotons as indoor plants. Iâve only had them as outdoor plants here in Florida at my previous home.
I think they are so pretty and wondered if anyone here had them as indoor plants for a pop of color and, if so, any special care tips? Iâm going to read up on them, of course, but wanted some real life opinions from those that have them indoors. TIA

Help!!! So I just recently got a Alocasia âSilver Dragonâ and I noticed today she started drooping.đ„Č Just yesterday she was all perky and excited to be here and now she look like the second pic. When I did get her she did not have any critters or bugs in or on her. I do have cats and she was chewed on a little bit but not enough to kill her. I made sure she was put up higher so that she was out of reach for them. helppp please. đą

Azalea question.
I have read online from various sources that state itâs ânormalâ for the flower blooms of azaleas to turn brown and then hold a green leave for a bit before recycling back to beautiful blooms. Other sources are saying Iâm not watering enough, or my soil isnât acidic enough, etc.
Whatâs the truth on these? I have done everything recommended for this plant and if itâs me, I donât know what Iâm doing or not doing to help this poor thing out. Or, is it just normal?

I just got this from a friend and I'm not sure how I should plant it. I think I want to cut it up and make a couple plants. I'm pointing at the places where I think I can safely cut what do you think. Would the little end be able to strat a new plant? Thanks

App developersâŠ. Can you put in an option of having plants in a terrarium. Or am I just missing it. I have two plants that the app thinks is having a problem because I havenât watered in a while but both are doing better in a terrarium but they stay wet much longer.

Recently gifted this lil guy to my Dad, and could use some confirmation on if this is a Haworthiopsis fasciata or attenuata. Iâm leaning toward attenuata, given the white on both sides of the leaves, but canât find a variety of it under Plantaâs options of attenuata it resembles the best. TIA for any help in identifying him!

Does anyone else mist terra cotta pots when they mist their plants? Doesnât seem to do any harm, but I also donât know if it does any good??

This bromeliad plant is in the original pot with no drainage. I thought it was dying and so I was going to give it to a friend that is better with plants then I am but then I noticed these little babies at the bottom. I would like to separate the 2 plants and put them in better pots but I'm not sure if I can now that there's babies. What do you all think and thanks for you help

Hi, Iâm new at caring for indoor tropical plants. The plants I currently have require bright, indirect sunlight. Iâve placed the plants near windows. During the winter months we do not get a ton of sunlight. Iâm wondering if using a plant light would be beneficial or if natural sunlight is enough for my plants.

I just came across a bit of information that I found interesting. A treatment for thrips: go over the leaves with a lint roller and then treat with neem. I found the lid roller and interesting tool for treatment.
