I put this plant in here as a cutting literally less than a month ago, look at those roots!! The fastest grower i own, beats pothosâ by a mile
I just snapped my biggest leaf in half during a watering incident, please mourn with me
Some crazy roots from our washboard fairy. Noticed them during our repotting.
Hiya! Introducing my pride n joy (leafy), sheâs a canna indica plant and was given to me as a moving in present, now weâve been buddies for about 2 yrs! đ Growth isnât a prob at all, quite a hardy plant imo and itâs always exciting to see new shoots come through :) But slightly concerned Iâve been either overwatering or over fertilising, as Iâm only fair amateur at the whole plant mom role, I did at one point regularly fertilise on each watering day as I thought she looked sad đđ Iâve stopped doing this since learning about the proper care plan from this app. Iâve always slight struggled with browning/yellowing on some of the leaves but been maintaining trimming ect to try and keep healthy as possible. If anyone got any advice for this particular plant type I would be more than grateful for any pointers! :) Thankyou, Jazz.
Are good for plants because Iâve had some hitchhikers before and took them off the plant and gently put them on the ground but I am wondering if it is healthy for the plant to have a snail on it?
How do I get this Jasmine sambac to grow more full and just look less crazy? It also hasnât grown much since i bought it last Spring (2023).
I got this ponytail palm about two weeks ago and it just has NOT been doing good since I brought it home⊠Idk whatâs wrong with it. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!đ€đŒ
POV: Your deliciosa wants to touch your obliqua. What would you do? Cut the root at the base of the plant and remove? Cut the tip that resurfaced? Move the tip back in the soil? Let them get touchy feely?
Many thanks to em-milleranglin for helping me with my swiss cheese plant! Itâs looking a lot better and has several new growths :))
Hey planty peeps! I recently started a planstagram and would love to connect with other houseplant enthusiasts on the platform!!! My handle is @plantzaya if you feel like giving me a follow! đđ±
When I tell my husband I want a pink princess for valentines he took it very seriouslyđ
Anyone know what this could possibly be caused by?
Can anyone identify what plant this is?
I have tried everything I can think of to save this tradescantia I got a month ago but I cannot banish root rot. Help! I brought it home and it began to wilt/lose leaves. That tipped me off to the soil staying too wet, so I swapped it out with my own potting soil which was airier. But it has still remained too wet and every time Iâve salvaged them, the clippings rot again. Here is my pile of what I could save from a really lovely full original plant (peep the full descent in the plant photos đ«Ł). What am I missing? Iâve not successfully gotten them to propagate in water. I have rooting hormone. What do I do? đ
[Itâs a follow up on my earlier post. Thanks a bunch to the folks that responded đ] Which is the better option to pot your monstera in along with the orchid bark mix? For additional context, my monstera is on a moss pole, and I wanted a mix that was fast draining to avoid root rot. Considering the Tropical Potting Soil mix and the Cactus Palm and Citrus Potting Soil mix. Leaning on the Tropical Potting mix, and I planned on mixing either one with the coarse blend.
I really canât help myself..and one didnât make the photo!
Can anyone ID this plant? The label says âCAMELLIA TRANSAR SANENSIS TINY WHITE SINGLEâ, which doesnât seem right. I thought it might be a tea plant at first (Camellia sinensis), but the flower buds are red not white. Maybe Camellia japonica?
i just saw an instagram reel about how if your snake plant doesnât have the pointed tip, it wonât grow ?! does anyone know if this is true? i do wonder because iâve had one since july and there are a few leaves with no tip and theyâve stayed the same size đłđł tagging my plant for reference
I went to Home Depot for potting soil and ended up coming home with this as well lol. Planta says this is a Coffee plant and is difficult to keep. We shall see. I will try my best to keep it healthy. Any one else have this plant? Suggestions?
