Plant Mama

I have a silver dollar vine that has been doing really well. Today I noticed these brown marks on about 6 leaves. Being the paranoid type I pulled the leaves off without thinking. I tried doing some checking up and it said that it could be from over watering. Which I have a bad habit of doing sometimes. What about your opinion? What do you think? Thanks.

Hi! So I lost my mind on Sunday and decided for the first time I'm going to have plants. And in true me fashion, I didn't just purchase one or two of the same kind. I went wild and bought myself a golden pothos, a spider plant, a snake plant, a money tree (it was on clearance and I have no control), an aloe, and a jade. Everybody is currently living right next to my east facing sliding glass door. I repotted the spider plant right away because her roots were coming out of the nursery pot. But everybody else is still hanging out in their original houses waiting to be repotted in some super cute pots (with holes!) I know most of the ones I got don't mind a little neglect and as the greenhouse lady said "are virtually indestructible" but please give me any tips and tricks I should know for those plants!

Should I be repotting this pilea? It’s been growing beautifully, many pups too! Starting to get a few yellow leaves though.

As you can see, I’m in need of help lol. My curly locks orchid cactus is i’m pretty sure badly sunburned because of my forgetfulness. When I first got it I of course did research to see how much light it needed. So when it said a more shady area, I put it on a non sunny shelf. But I had to move that shelf, so I set it right in front of my window with most of my other plants while I was moving things, and never moved it back to shade. I was gone for about two months, so I didn’t know it suffered until I got back, and in the summer sun it got absolutely fried… It was growing so well a while back, and now it looks like this… I just have to know if it’s save-able or not… if anybody knows if it can be helped, please let me know! I moved it into shade, but I don’t know what else to do.

Welp my kids decided to get into a fight right next to my monsters. Is this save-able? Or do I cut it off. I’m so sad :/

I have a zz plant and a philodendron that look like they’re leaning to the side a bit. Is this normal, or should I get support stakes?

Hi all! My plant here has one or two roots growing out of the drainage holes on the bottom. I do use the gray pot as a “tray” to catch water since it fits the other pot perfectly, but also as decoration, so it gathers some water in it after I water her. I was wondering if the roots were just trying really hard to get to the water or if it’s time to repot her? If so, could I drill holes into this pot and have her live in there? Also it’s only outside so I can water and drain it there

I planted these dragon fruit seeds ages ago and nothing was happening but today when I was counting my plants, I noticed a green dot so I dumped everything out and looked for more and there was only one, but I’m so happy I found it when I did, I’m so excited to add another one to the collection!

So this growth came out of my baby fig plant last week. It almost looks like it could be a flower to me, but I don’t think baby figs develop flowers. Any idea what this is? I’ve had to plant for maybe two years and I’ve never seen anything like it.

I found this extremely dilapidated peace lily next to the dumpster outside my apartment building and thought I would try to work some magic. Since it was free I thought there would be no harm in trying something extreme. First pic was exactly how I found it, second pic was after letting it soak up some water and getting what looked like all the dead stuff out, third pic was when I said “these leaves have no hope” and final pic is today! I found it on August 2nd so in 18 days she’s been doing really good! I know that it will probably need to be repotted soon but I want to let it get some new growth before traumatizing it further. That’s all, have a great day!

Semi hydroponics LECA… I transitionned all my plants to SH (monsteras, alocasia, spider plant, pothos). I didnt put the nutrient solution just yet because chatgpt (yes i know) said they apparently need to get used to the transition for a week first. So I Rinced my leca Boiled it Soaked it Trimmed root rot with clean cisors Let it callous 5 hours Cleaned the roots as much as possible Sprayed neem-peroxyde-water mix on the roots Filled water reservoir with ~3 cm of water Used pots with aeration and wick After all this i still got root rot 😭😭😭😭 pothos died from root rot/trasition? My alocasias too My monsteras survived but a lot of root rot 2 philodendron root rot too I am so lost as to what i did wrong 😭😭😭

Sad panda. I knocked this new baby leaf off the stem. I had recently propagated this cutting and the newly planted stem fell out of the pot. Sorry Baby.

I have these framed plant holders mounted on the wall and they come with grow light for each frame. How far up should I place it above the frame? It’s albo pothos, birds nest fern, and English ivy.. I would hate to fry them I appreciate it!!

What should I do to make this plant fuller?

Is this too close to the window? It’s west facing I’m ordering sheer curtains for the afternoon. But otherwise is this okay for them?

Help. What is happening to my prayer plant? It looked great last week. The only change is that I moved it about a foot closer to the window. It is a west facing window.
