Ugh 😩 did I mess up again? I bought this lipstick plant on Sunday on a road trip home. I put it in my laundry room (one window). Yesterday I repotted it into a hanging planter for the purposes of hanging in my bathroom in front of the window. The pot it came in and the pot I planted it in, were roughly the same size, slightly different taper on top. Needless to say I did have to smoosh it in there a teensy bit. It was already very wet so I did not water it except for just trying to clean off the pot. I wake up this morning and half of its leaves are black and curly. I tipped it over, no water ran out. I tried to dab at the soil with tissues, but it didn’t soak up any water. Removed any leaves that were 80% black. Please tell me I haven’t murdered my brand new plant. I added photos of the before, the leaves, after, and then after I removed all the leaves.

I just saw a trash I’ve never seen before: premium task. What does that mean?

I’ve been completely neglecting tha Nanouk and she surprised me with a flower!! Maybe it’s a sign to take better care of her but wow it is gorgeous!! I didn’t even know these plants blossomed 🥰

My Peace Lily has been giving me huge flowers for months... I got a little burn on the leaves but that's because it was too close to the window just moved it. Key is lots of light and don't use tap water, always condition the water.

Curious when sone 6 people usually brings their houseplants inside for the winter. I think I’ll do it this week - low of 39 Wednesday, just wondering if anyone else has a rule of thumb.

this is my dad’s plant, neither of us can identify it but it’s apparently constantly droopy like this, no matter if he waters it or not. does anyone have any advice to give him so that he doesn’t have to let it go 😭🙏

Are you able to make a succulent grow back its leaves? My kalanchoe 'little dragon' lost all of its leaves when I was out of state and now it just looks like a stem, is there any way to make the leaves grow back?

Help! I had to remove my Thai con from the leca it was in bc there was mold when i got back from my vacation. I cleaned off with hydrogen peroxide and removed dead roots and let it air dry overnight. When i came back from work (12 hrs) it was tilted over and wilted. I assume it just needs water bc i left it without any overnight. I cleaned off additional roots today and now I placed it in water with a bit of fertilizer (not much) should my plant bounce back? I’m leaving it inside of water because I’m leaving for 14 days on vacation out of the country but I will have someone coming to take care of my plants. What should they do if the roots start to get mold on them, not rot, but mold on the roots.

My begonia has been doing beautifully. It's been growing new leaves and blooming. Now some of the leaves are soft and floppy. Any suggestions?

Seymour, my sedum, is a beast! I’m trying to figure out what to do with him. He’s been on my kitchen window sill with 4 other plants, but he’s grown so big that the others barely have room. 😂 He’s really handsome, though! PS: Added his baby picture from Feb 2021… when Seymour was a “Sey-less” 🥹

So frustrated! I haven't bought plants online in about five years because last time I did it they all arrived dead. Finally decided to brave it and try again. They were supposed to arrive today. According to tracking they were put in my mailbox. They weren't!! I don't live in an area where they be'd stolen. Called the post office and they checked with the driver and said they'd call me back. Didn't hear anything. I quit!! My poor babies are probably sitting in someone else's mailbox and it's supposed to be in the 30s tonight. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hello my curly spider plant recently put out its first shoot and flower. I’ve read that flowers can either be a sign of stress or happiness. Could this mean it needs a repot?
