A couple of years ago, I had 97 plants (including cuttings) in my 42 sqm apartment. That worked out to about 2.3 plants per sqm, all fighting for light from just two windows and a balcony door.
Now Iâm curious: whatâs your plant-per-sqm today?
These days, after moving to a bigger home, battling thrips infestations, swapping many of my indoor plants for a garden, and adding kids into the mix, Iâm at just 0.28 houseplants per sqm!

I canât tell if the base of my money tree is starting to get unhealthy. It recently had some pest issues and Iâve been treating it. But overall itâs still growing fine (minus the leaves Iâm pruning and treating). Iâve had it for 8 years and I really done want to start over. Just need another set of eyes, thank youuuuuu

So Iâve had this calathea for a while now and it has been infested with what I think is spider mites (if itâs not pls let me know) and I was just thinking would it be such a crime to just get rid of it? đŹ it pains me but Iâve done everything from taking it out completely and spraying it down with neem to the dawn dish and isopropyl method it just really wants to have bugs.

Heyy! I'm brand new to gardening and the only thing I've done before are Tulips, that didn't last long, but I'm starting new this year! I wanted to try zinnias and didn't do enough research and put way too many seeds in one pot. What do I need to do?? Can I leave them or do i need to repot? And how exactly can i do that? We have an aquatic turtle that we have a dry tank for when she lays eggs (1 to 2 times a year). Starting to transfer it into a succulent/cactus habitat. 1st time trying something like this, if anyone has advice appreciate it.

I noticed on my lemon-lime philodendron that the older leaves were yellowing (can see in the first & second pic) no pests, so I repotted her since she was in her nursery pot. Her roots were good but definitely root bound. Sheâs pushing out new growth too (third pic) so Iâm wondering if I should clip the older yellowing leaves to promote new growth or leave them? I donât want to stress her out cause I love her!!

Itâs funny that all summer long my basil plant has done great in my kitchen window with the sun. But recently I read on Google that it may be dying due to too much sun or under/over watering.
And I thought this was the one plant besides my coleus that I was doing good with.
