This is my first fiddle leaf fig. I’m not sure if i should cut her bottom leaves that have damage off while it’s winter in Oregon. I just watered her for the first time today since i bought her a week ago so im hoping that will help with some drooping leaves. The big damaged leaves though seem like they’d be stealing nutrients. Help lol

The best way I have found to clean plant leaves and leave a nice shine. 1:1 water/milk. I kid you not, and no, there is no smell. Both the ZZ and Maranta came with significant leaf issues from the big box stores. Perry the Maranta would always look dull no matter what. Zed the ZZ had serious ugly water spots nothing seemed to tackle. They both got wiped down today and 90% of the water spots are gone on Zed and Perry looks shiny. Very satisfied.

What’s the best way to clean pots between plants? I live in an apartment and I’m a little wary of having a big thing of bleach around.

This is my dragon tree I've been told to water it every 3 weeks but I don't have a large watering canister I've been watering it by my little spray bottle

Hi all! Does anyone have thoughts on why the lower leaf on my monstera decided to flop over on top of itself? It is the farthest leaf from the light, and was bent kind of under and away from the light when she arrived here. The leaf’s been moving up closer to the light, but I didn’t expect the flop over 🤷‍♀️ I searched her, and don’t see any sign of pests. I watered her yesterday or the day before as she was quite dry. I’d appreciate any thoughts or advice y’all have!

PET ADVICE NEEDED So I’m going to be adopting a cat very soon and I wondered if anybody here with cats/pets could give me any advice for keeping my cat and plants safe. I’m going to be giving away my peace lillies to a friend because I’ve heard that they are particularly toxic to cats if ingested. But any advice at all is appreciated eg keeping cats from eating/knocking over plants, keeping cats from using plants soil as a bathroom etc

Does anyone know a reliable place to buy crocus Sativus bulbs?

I sprayed my little Calathea with neem about five days ago, because she had spider mites. This is what the backs of her leaves look like now; they’re a little bit less white than they were before she was sprayed. How do I know when spider mites are dead? Is the white coloration permanent? I’m unsure as to what she should look like when spider mites are gone, and how many times she should be sprayed with neem. TIA… 🤗💚🪴

I could really use some help/advice. I am in zone 9 and most of my plant are outside most of the time. In the past I have moved them inside on the nights that will be coldest but these plants are new to me and I’m thinking I should set them up inside. The problem is that my house is super dark. I have one spot with south windows that I think would work for my philodendrons and Chinese evergreen. What about my coleus and zig zag? Should I set up grow lights instead? I don’t want to keep shocking them with the in and out all the time… Tia.

How much light to Monsteras really need? I read one thing, I hear another then see another. What kind of light does yours get if you have one?

my leaves on my orchid are getting saggier everyday and i don’t know why. i googled for answers and it said it’s either being over water, under watered or too much light. i say the watering isn’t the problem because it has new buds. tips would be appreciated!

Question about Jasmine- My jasmine's leaves started drooping heavily, I suspected underwatering. When I watered they perked up (a bit) ! I added stones on top of soil to conserve some moisture too. But now I found these shriveled leaves (see first pic below), & they r not dry and crumbly as I would expect for underwatering.... they're sorta squishy I'm wondering if this is just jasmine dormancy for the winter? One or two leaves dropped off too. Or is it a watering issue?

Hi everyone! My monster adansonii is getting extremely leggy. I’ve added moss poles to accommodate the length but it’s almost reaching the ceiling. I cut off some of the ends bc I didn’t like the way it was looking. Now, I’ve got several leggy stems that I don’t just want to throw away. What is the best way to propagate the nodes? Do I cut them up into smaller pieces? Use water, soil, or something else?
