I’ve had this homemade tea light fixture in storage for quite some time. Then I got the idea that these little pots fit perfectly! So I attached it to my front porch and bingo! I’m gonna need more pots and plants! I’ll probably use some clippings from my other plants first. These little guys I bought from a local nursery. I’m excited!! I can’t wait until it’s completely full! Any suggestions on what kind of plants are ideal for indirect and partial direct afternoon light? My porch faces northwest with large, bushy tress in the front yard. Many thanks in advance!

Does anyone else dislike the Dr. Planta update?😅 It used to be so simple, just clicking yes or no about care info and such. Now I have to have a whole “conversation” which defeats the point of asking an app imo… (not to mention the water usage of AI chatbots 💔)
I have a baby Monstera that I’ve had for a few months now, but it hasn’t produced any new leaves. It produced one leaf then an old leaf died. It’s been with two leaves for several months now. I fertilize it once a month. The roots are very healthy (I use clear pots so I can see the roots). It receives bright indirect light. Does it need more light? Should I move it closer to the window?
got this gorgeous calathea for my bday! i know these are... a challenge but any tips are appreciated!
Not sure how this looked when I planted it in the fall but I brought it inside when it died and regrew to this super tall guy suddenly. Anyone have tips on what it is and what to do with it. I was thinking of taking it back outside since it’s starting to warm up. I’m in Ohio for reference. Thanks!
I’ve been watering this juniper bonsai regularly and I keep it outside. I got it this summer but now it’s all brown. Is there a way to bring it back?
Feeling sad about my struggle bus babies, so I am posting some happy plants to show myself that not all of them are terrible.
should i trash or keep these guys
I need help my ti plant is dying , an everywhere I put it it yellows or fading out color . I put it outside an it got all yellow . I also put a tray of pebbles underneath with water top stay hydrated. But it just seems to look dull leaves curl a burnt ends . I also would keep it at a west facing window . I would like to keep the plant an want to bloom more leaves .
I had the best laugh today. Actually I laughed so hard my stomach is sore. Why you are asking? Cause Planta just informed me that in 2 days it wants me to REPOT 31 plants all in one day!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Well, that’s never going to happen. For one thing it’s still extremely cold here in New Hampshire, plus we still have 18 inches of snow on the ground!!!!! My Potting Bench is still buried with snow and that’s where I do my repotting. Spring doesn’t happen here in New Hampshire until May!!!!! Planta needs to accommodate for this plus I will NEVER repot all my plants at once, way too exhausting, and some of them won’t need it. Thought you fellow plant friends would appreciate the absurdity of this task!!!! I’d love to know what others think too, Have a good day!!!!
I’m going on vacation this summer. I’m wondering what everyone does to care for your plants when you’re away? I don’t have anyone to look after them. I’m concerned about watering. I’ll be gone for 3 weeks

What an amazing 3 leaf rooted cutting I bought online… looks even more amazing in person! Slowly growing the philodendron collection🤣
Hi! I am trying to figure out if this new little shoot is a spider plant baby! I was under the assumption that the only babies they produced were on runners… but I’m not sure what else this could be. Help!
Hello all! When you get a new plant, do you separate it from the others or keep it covered? I feel like they always do well while covered, then I uncover them and they suffer 😩
Im so excited I just ordered a philo majestic and a desert rose in this deep red and black color.
Does anyone know what kind of plant this is? My mom has had it for a while, but she wants to know what kind before she looks into cutting it
Plant friends, where do you like to buy your plants and decorative pots online? I’m looking for some new places to check out!
