Happy MLK day everyone, just wanted to share some plants! 🪴
1.5 years of growth 🫶
Accidentally startled this lil cutie when cutting off my Cosmos’s (KOZZY is their names) withering flowers. He/she/they/idk shot up, hovering above my flowers heads, as we locked eye contact for a moment, and for that moment I apologized and reassured there is no harm here. It shot daggers at me for a bit longer before resuming its business. & thanks to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s camera quality I got these HQ images! Hover-fly says Chatgpt, the fanciest fly i’ve ever seen. Dresses like a helpful bee or one of those hatin ass wasps, and maneuvers like the coolest of dragonflies! Welcome back anytime 😎🐝🌸
This prayer plant is one of the first plants I got. Before I knew any better, I thought it would be a good idea to plant it directly in its ceramic pot. Now I worry about how I will know when it needs to be repotted and how to do so without hurting the plant. Any thoughts?
Help! I hope this is ok to post here, I can’t find any place else to ask. I’m currently on the free trial and if I continue to subscribe to the app, it says it will renew my subscription for $47.99. I can’t find anywhere that tells me how many plants this includes. Is there some place I can go that would tell me how many plants this would cover?
Happy Monday, planty friends! 💚 What’s the first plant you checked on this morning?!
When I got these, they were small 3" plants and I apparently didn't pay close enough attention to the tag vs the plant. The left side was labeled as Pearls and Jade.....I don't think that is correct. Right side was Marble Queen.....I think they all look the same. Thoughts?
Should i cut down the stem that has the brown leaves and then repot this into a smaller pot? It’s a Calathea Liberians. TIA
My first plants grown from a seed!❤️❤️❤️
OMG I didn’t kill my lipstick plant after all!!!!!!!!!!! This little bud came out of nowhere 😆 Wooooooooooooo 😍😍😍😍😍😍
UPDATE: from my post earlier on my African violet. Thank you for the advice and I watched the YouTube video, it was very helpful. I did as the video showed and I found lots of babies and now they are all in their own little pots. I even did it to my other African violet. I Love Learning new planty things! Also what do I do to propagate the leafs, put them in a glass dish with plastic wrap over it? Use perlite or soil? All help appreciated.
Hi! I've got a dieffenbachia under a grow light, but it's been thinning out and the new leaves never uncurl properly. Been thinking about chopping all the leaves and restarting the growth. Anyone have any recommendations on how to trouble shoot or if starting over would be best?
Story Sunday! Tell us the story behind one of your plants. Was it a gift, a rescue, or a splurge? 💚🌿
This aloe has lived in the same tiny ass pot for 2+ years with minimal water and zero emotional support. Somehow still alive!!! I think he’s thriving off spite!!! 😂🥰🙏🏼🪴
We moved into our house almost a year ago and I have been very picky about being cohesive, curated, yet cozy about everything we have. This is my Pink corner. Some just have red/pink stems and eventually will be relocated and I plan to get an overhead light as well. I am trying to style the unit and am looking through my stuff for Pink stuff to add and style. 1) Suggestions? 2) Does this Kalanchoe Maroon Crinkle or Rattlesnake Calathea fit over here for now? If so, I will figure out how to make it work Thanks!
Is this a bud??? I’ve had this hibiscus for 15-ish years. She used to bloom regularly but has not bloomed in about 10 years. I’d be SO excited for her to bloom again!!!!
Soooo, I was looking at Skittle my African violet this morning and was going to pull a dead leaf off and… the whole thing popped off the stem so easily🤦🏼♀️ What happened?! It’s not mushy at all and everything looks healthy. Did it get to dry? I just watered her yesterday and she was pretty dry. Is there anyway to save her??
I just got this Ming aralia 😝
My philo is grow grow grow! I need better support to keep him standing up. Any ideas?
My Spathiphyllum has this brown flower here. Is this OK? What should I do?
