Does anyone know if there is a way to add an extra upkeep item into the app? I spray some of my plants with a neem oil & water solution every ten days or so and I'd like to add it into the care section but don't see a way how to add custom items...
Could someone please explain why the app insists on misting and watering the same plant on the same day? đ€đ€š
3 Snake Plant questions I could use help on please: 1) is this prop ready to be planted? 2) if yes to #1 question then what size pot should I start with (I know they like to be root bound)? 3) is it safe to spray an already prepared neem oil spray directly on snake plant leaves? Thanks for any help!
Ok, so weâre doing a series on some of the most popular plant myths floating around right now. First up: đ± "Adding sugar to your plantâs soil will boost its growth.â At first glance, this sounds logicalâplants need sugar for energy, right? So why not help them out with a little sweet sprinkle? Well⊠not so fast. đ§Ș The Science Behind It: Plants do rely on sugar (specifically glucose) for energyâbut they donât get it from the soil. They produce it themselves through photosynthesis, a process where they turn sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into food. Basically, theyâre self-sufficient chefs. So when you add sugar to the soil, youâre not feeding your plantâyouâre feeding the wrong crowd. đŠ What Actually Happens: * Sugar might encourage fungal and bacterial overgrowth. * This can lead to mold, smelly soil, and root suffocation. * It might also disrupt the healthy soil microbiome, which plants rely on for nutrient uptake. đ What actually helps plants grow well is optimal growing conditions. Different plants are adapted to different environments, so instead make sure it receives optimal conditions in terms of: * Light * Watering * Nutrient availability * Soil type And put the sugar in your coffee / tea instead âïž
So I've had this moonshine snake plant well this'll be third summer. So happy, tons of pups over the years. I last separated her in March. I noticed today - flowering đ. Hopefully she's not dying but I fear the worst.

Best grow lights for office with no windows?
Does this plant look like it has spider mites? You most likely cant tell from this angle, It's a sunflower I grew from a seed and I checked on it today and saw that it was covered with what looked like spider webs, so my initial thought would be spider mights but I checked the stem and around the leaves and saw nothing, also are the leaves starting to rot? I noticed they are all brown and look like rot.
Hello everyone! Iâm a new plant mom and learning so much. I have some new plants and my Peace Lilly is drooping. Can anyone help or what to do? App is saying itâs going dormant but not sure next steps

I did some repotting today including a small parlor Palm. This plant has been looking better recently. I've treated it for mealy bugs, put in a rain barrel .. it seems to like that, and I have fertilized. Today as I repotted and gave it some fresh soil I cleaned the sheets off the bottom of the stems and found mealy bugs huddled in there hiding! I gave it a stiff spray of water and a healthy dose of neem. Hopefully this spring will bring beautiful new foliage.
Does anyone know whatâs on my Aglaonemaâs leaves? It looks like some sort of sap but, Iâm not sure. Itâs like an orange color.
My beloved corn plant that Iâve had for over 50 years⊠(Yes, over 50 years!), has sustained damage that is irreparable, and itâs my fault! I was under the impression that these plants like to dry out before being watered again, and I donât water her until she is very dry, which was what I thought she needed. So I started re-investigating watering for this particular plant, and Planta says that Dracaenas are considered moderate drinkers. I am sick at heart, because I have let her get very dry before I have watered her. Now she is showing brown dry tips on her beautiful leaves. PLEASE TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT THIS PLANTâS WATER NEEDS ARE. TIA!
