Anyone ever experience a heart leaf philodendron âBrasilâ just get a pink variegation? Itâs been stable for the last few shoots.. Could it also just be the skylight giving it sun stress? Whatever it may be Iâm loving it!
Hiii! I just repotted my newly delivered Philodendron Glorious. I have you watched a lot of videos where they thrive in moss pole, (which I havenât had experienced with.) I just wanted to ask to those moss pole pros if a 7 diameter moss pole is enough or too much for this little plant? Thank you! đ±
Hello all, I received a cutting of this plant a few months ago at a plant swap and just discovered that it is likely Crassula helmsii, or swamp stonecrop. It is extremely invasive in several countries. The selling this plant is banned in the UK and it is on 11 countryâs Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species. Although it is not currently an invasive species in my state or city, the previous information makes me nervous. I wouldnât want to start anything bad if it were to somehow spread outside of its pot. Would it be irresponsible to keep this plant? Should I notify the plant swap? Any information or advice is greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know if thereâs a way to remove a task from a plant? For example I have Hyacinth bulbs that are in wax and it would tell me to water it. The latest is this. Itâs not winter here.
My favorite plant in my collection rn đ
Just ordered my first Alocasia Bambino! His name is Sal! Canât wait to meet him!
Hey all, Iâm pretty new to plants but I wanted to show off the little guys I grabbed the other day and introduce them! (Sorry itâs a long one) Haworthia - Spike is an a**hole. Actually refuses to turn brown, let alone die. Ended up stabbing me 5 times in the first few hours. Identifies as a cactus. Echeveria - Tina (yes sheâs named after the borderlands character) is small but mighty. Sheâs had a time of it. She was in with a few other succulents when I got her and was NOT lookin too hot. Sheâs doing a little better but still recovering. She resilient though. Polka dot plant - Pinky is still a mystery. Sheâs obviously gorgeous but hasnât shown very much personality yet. Was very root bound when I got her but sheâs repotted and seems to be thriving? Idk, she kinda just chills on her shelf. Rex Begonia - I know I shouldnât pick favorites⊠but itâs hard not to when Galina is in the room (named after âRedâ Reznikov iykyk). Sheâs a bad b*tch, VERY dramatic ofc but sheâs the center of attention and knows it. She wilts if I breathe wrong though lol. Still trying to find her âsweet spotâ in my house bc I donât have a ton of window options and she HATES the grow light and sheâs still pretty sick from when I bought her. If you have any tips or recommendations or comments on these guys feel free to share. Iâve done a lot of research but tips from other plant parents is always helpful. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
Has anyone ever tried these stakes? They are supposed to bring oxygen down to the roots of the plants. I just got them and am wondering what people think? And are there any dos and donât with using them. Thanks!
Found mealybugs on my jades. Cleaned, alcohol swabbed, sprayed with insecticide soap. Do you usually repot, or just keep treating?
One of my wishlist plants was delivered today. No one could've prepared me for how badass it is in person. đ đž: begonia ferox â€
Any tips on bringing this plant back to life? I believe it's a nerve plant. How often should it be watered when it's young?
It is National Spinach Day! Do you plan on growing spinach this season?
Hey everyone so I got this beautiful little girl from Loweâs for 3$ ! She was originally 15$ but the lady was nice at the counter and hit the tag switch-a-roo herself đđ. I do see leaves on bottom that arenât healthy whatâs the best way to get rid of those , trim or let it fall off ?
Hey planty people! I want to start a compost bin but I donât know how. Help?

Is my bamboo plant getting scorched? The app says too much watering but Iâm wondering if itâs getting too much direct sun. Backstory: we moved from a desert area to a mountain area in November and the only plant that hasnât taken the move well is Bambi. All of my plants are on a window sill in the basement so most of the day it gets indirect light but for a few hours it does get direct light. Ever since the move all the new growth has come in discolored and the tips have started to go crispy. Any advice? Iâd really hate to loose this plant, it was a grievance gift after my dad passed.
Just wondering what you guys did with your trailing/vining plants when they are getting to be too long for your space? I would feel bad throwing the vines away so I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas đĄ đż
