I just ordered a moss pole off Amazon and the scent is quite strong. It’s a moldy mildewy smell. How do I get the smell out so I can use it in my house? Any suggestions would be good. It’s not wet or damp, it just has that manufacturing smell I guess.

This is my KENTIA plant. I’ve tied it up because it was spreading and leaning too much. Is it food to tie up plants? X
First time snake plant owner! Is it normal for a twisted sister to sprout new leaves from the center of the plant? Thanks!
I’m very overdue watering and fertilizing my plants. They also need to be repotted. Can I go ahead and repot even though they’re overdue for watering/fertilizing??
Has anyone ever purchased one of these "type" stands to cannibalize for parts? I would like there to be a "shelf" on the bottoms vs just straight to the floor. I have a few of these so I think buying 1 small-ish stand would work. Yeah....it will be a mess to move everything and redo the bottom layer....but I am ok with it. Get to know you of the day: What is the oldest plant in your collection?
this pink princess philodendron was just gifted to me! looks like the first order of business is putting it into a smaller, more appropriate pot. it also looks like the stem of the unfurling leaf is broken... do i leave it be or remove it? any thoughts or general advice is greatly appreciated as this is my first philo and pink princess. tyia!

What Causes Water Droplets on Indoor Plant Leaves? The phenomenon of a plant releasing water from its leaves is called guttation. It's a normal process where plants excrete excess water, often appearing as droplets at the tips or edges of leaves. This occurs when the plant absorbs more water than it can transpire, especially under conditions of high humidity and cool temperatures.
hi plant people! I got this gollum jade plant (at least I think that’s what it is) a couple months ago and it’s not looking so good anymore:( any tips to fix it or reasons why it’s turning brown??
What is this on my Paraiso Verde? it wiped off easily, but its all in the pot too. I have a feeling theyre eggs of fruit flies. Im going to repot it ASAP.
Hi all, I’ve started noticing these clusters of white dots in my philodendron’s soil? Does anybody know what this is & if it’s necessary to repot it??
This little baby rubber tree has grown all wonky. Hopefully the stake will help it straighten. Any tips on strengthening the stems so they can support themselves? And look at that variation on that leaf! Several new leaves are hardening but this one is good to go. Also...I love getting to know the community....where are you from? I am in SC, near NC, USA.
Why do my money tree leaves droopy like that?
Question. My monstera thai const has a tiny baby leaf at the bottom. Around half an inch wide. There are three other large leaves around 2-3 inches wide. Should I chop off the little one? I don't wanna hinder growth lol
Does anyone have recipes for homemade plant leaf cleaners
Ive been slowly moving my collection to semi hydro but ive heard about people using self watering with soil. Does anyone have any experience? I would love to move my syngoniums and begonias into these setups but it sounds like a breeding ground for root rot to me.
