Can anyone help me identify this plant? I got it on clearance as a rescue plant, Iâve had to cut back all but one leaf and I have a new leaf coming in but have no clue what kind plant it is so Iâm unsure if Iâm giving the proper care for it.
Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? I got it in the clearance section at Loweâs but there was no name it just said assorted foliage
Hey so my alocasia black velvet has got at least 8 little shoots coming out of its base. I know these are signs that sheâs doing well and happy, but should I be doing something with them? Im also wondering if they will grow little off springs if I bury them?
Healthy Beautiful Thai Constellation Monstera, to look back and think this beauty was in the clearance section.

Expert Help Needed đȘŽCan anyone ID this plant? I think itâs an Aglaonema. Leaves are dark green with pale pink edges and stems.
Iâm ready to give up on moss poles. I use a watering bulb on them. Which is a mess to just get positioned correctly without water dripping everywhere. Another poster used plastic cups with holes in it on the top of the pole. Sounds like a great idea but donât know if I want to try it at this point. I have Treleaf trellises on a few plants. They look great but have not had long to know if the plants will attach to them. The company said they will and without misting the trellis. Iâm too the point of wanting to get rid of the plants with poles. This part is a chore and not a fun hobby. Besides the pic plants I have a Cebu Blue that is even larger. Guess Iâm just venting and in the process of deciding what to do. Tomorrow I may have totally different attitude towards it all .
Trying to pick a name for this beauty. Itâs hard to capture the color of the leaves accurately on camera for whatever reason, but theyâre actually a very deep, moody plum purple. Sheâs quite the lovely goth girl, so Iâm debating over a couple of names for her. So far Iâve got Valerie, Erica/Erika, Nora, Raven, Simone, and Naomi, but Iâd love to hear anyone suggestions. For anyone interested in picking one up, sheâs a peperomia caperata âred lunaâ that I bought on Sunday from Ottâs Exotic Plants. TIA!
Any tips for repotting a string of pearl? She fell last week and needs to be rehabbed. Never been repotted. Some of the strings came loose and I tried to poke them back into the soil but I havenât been successful plus the nursery pot now has a crack in it. Any advice would be appreciated!
đ Plant Newbie here, does it bother anyone else when your plant site has an odd number! It makes it so tempting to just go buy another plant! đđȘŽ
Do I cut my Umbrella Palm down when it gets cold outside; itâs in a pot, so I will bring it inside for the winter. Mary
Hey guys! Do yâall have any care tips for the Alocasia melo plant? I just got one and Iâve never had an Alocasia before so Iâm scared haha! Thank yâallđ
Nervous. As of this week I am caretaker of two large hibiscus for a friend who is out of country for an extended time. Sheâs clearly ready to be up potted. I know this isnât the ideal time of year to repot. 1) what kind of soil mixture should I use? 2) anything else I should know? I really donât want to stress or damage them! Thanks in advance.
Hereâs a poll question for you all - do you research your plants before buying, or do you find a pretty plant and say âyep, that oneâs mine!â And hope for the best with plant care?
Ugh đ© did I mess up again? I bought this lipstick plant on Sunday on a road trip home. I put it in my laundry room (one window). Yesterday I repotted it into a hanging planter for the purposes of hanging in my bathroom in front of the window. The pot it came in and the pot I planted it in, were roughly the same size, slightly different taper on top. Needless to say I did have to smoosh it in there a teensy bit. It was already very wet so I did not water it except for just trying to clean off the pot. I wake up this morning and half of its leaves are black and curly. I tipped it over, no water ran out. I tried to dab at the soil with tissues, but it didnât soak up any water. Removed any leaves that were 80% black. Please tell me I havenât murdered my brand new plant. I added photos of the before, the leaves, after, and then after I removed all the leaves.
I just saw a trash Iâve never seen before: premium task. What does that mean?
