Curious what everyone’s favorite fertilizer is for your indoor plants?

Aisha

I’ve been away since Thursday, visiting my mom, and just got back today. I’m so looking forward to getting back into the swing of plant chores tomorrow! Is that odd? Am I the only one that gets peace from plant chores? I discovered thrips right before I left and have been anxious all weekend to get home, even while enjoying the time with my mom and helping her organize her new home, and taking care of her plants for her. 😁 thankfully my neighbor friend came to the rescue while I was gone and sprayed the infected plants with Jack Dead Bug stuff and the ones that I’d noticed them on showed no new ones, but a couple more plants have them so I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me I think. I got a handful of new plants while I was away. This pothos and spider were given to Mama, but she doesn’t have the room for them so I told her I’d be glad to hang onto them until she does. 😇 The rest are from my favourite plant shop in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, Fern. I can’t wait to integrate these into my collection! Especially the variegated String of Pearls. I’ve killed every other String of Pearls I’ve ever had but right now I have a String of Hearts and a String of Bananas that seem to be staying alive, maybe even thriving! So I thought I’d try again. The Pothos was over 5’ long but so leggy that I needed to cut him back. I’m propagating several vines and will be checking roots, fertilizing, and repotting soon, while also adding several of the cuttings back into the soil. I love that I know he can handle such drastic action, even this late in the season. Anyways! Thanks for reading my rave! Any advice for the African Violet, Aloe Vera and SOP are greatly appreciated.

Hello, plant parents! đŸȘŽ I’m looking for something lush and pretty to put on a plant stand in front of an East-facing window in my home office. Any recommendations for something that likes direct morning light and bright indirect afternoon light? Thanks in advance! đŸ™đŸŒ

This is a shoutout to Emma from Planta customer service. I explained to her that I purchased a rubber plant that had a fungus when it arrived, money tree plant that was infected with thrips. She refunded the cost of the 2 plants and shipping, and added she appreciated me letting them know and that my email will be shared with the nursery. 👏

Is my crisp wave fern dying? It gets plenty of sunlight and soil is moist, but leaves are turning brown.

What’s the best way to separate these. They are stuck tight. I was thinking maybe put them in a tote of water?

finishing up a rehab for my friend’s pothos. It started as two long vines and I think I scarred her with how much I chopped it up, it was needed. Just acclimating to life outside the cabinet before she goes home đŸ©”

HELP. I was gifted a Dumb Cane that is in desperate need of revamping. The tops are already cut off because they were o heavy and bending ready to snap. I think it may be totally cut down because of the lanky twisting and turning stems. Can anybody guide me with this it is 7 feet tall.

I think my bamboo plant needs repotting.. Is there a a type of pot that anyone would recommend I get for it? Also should I have rock/pebbles on top of the soil or is that just for looks?

Good morning Planty people’s!đŸȘŽđŸȘŽ I bought a ZZ on clearance at Walmart. It was a sad little fella, as dry as could be. I watered it, cleaned the leaves and gave it indirect sun. In just a few days I’ve seen growth, new leaves pushing them selves out. The thing I’m concerned with, it’s in a self watering pot. Whenever I push a finger in its moist, doesn’t ZZ plant like to dry out a bit? Should this be in a different pot, or leave it alone?

My burgundy rubber fig, I got today. He was on the reduced price sell out rack, which means if I didn’t buy him, he would have been thrown in the trash and also I always wanted one of these guys.

Went to a plant market and they had some struggling plants available for free. I think this one has been overwatered and I’m confident i can save it, but I’m not sure what it is lol. Any ideas?
