My aunt wants to go plant shopping with me. She wants more plants because she loves how they look in and outside of her house, but she is so bad with them (she knows this and has said it herself). Any indoor and outdoor recommendations? Succulents are off the table (she canât stop killing them). Thanks!
I just repotted my Alocasia Micholitziana and separated six larger pups from her. I just wanted to show the size of the corms I found as I've never seen them this big before. Also, if you are in SoCal and would like a corm and/or one of the pups I separated, please reach out. The pups are sitting bare rooted in water until that are claimed or die. Anywhere I can donate them?
Is it worth using a water filtration pitcher for watering my plants? I don't know if they really do enough to warrant the effort...
I donât have a green thumb like my mom. After getting this app Iâve kept my plants alive for the last 10 months. (Pat on back - woohoo!) When I water my plants now, should I be concerned that drainage happens quickly? (Apologies if this is the wrong forum. Send me a link)
My 85 year old mother and I sell mostly outside plants in front of our home in the summer. We have lots of fun meeting new plant people in our community. We get a lot of people dropping off plant when we are not home. This arrowhead was left last summer and I love it but I'm not sure what to do with it or what type it is. It has a lot of new leaves coming out so I know it's doing pretty good but it has also had a few leave turn brown. It's in the same pot it came in and it has no drain holes so I'm very careful about watering it. I would love any advice/help you plant lovers can offer me. Thanks
Hey Iâm new to plants itâs something Iâve been wanting to get into for awhile now. We had a funeral yesterday and well I ended up with plants and Iâm not sure fully on the type or whyâs best to care for them. I plan on getting a grow light here soon but Iâm not sure where to start any advice or help would be great!

Well, USPS failed to deliver my plants today as they promised. That means they will be sitting in a warehouse in Boston during a polar freeze until Tuesday, so I think theyâre probably all dead. I did bring cuttings of a couple of them in my luggage. Sigh.
I just bought this Queen of the night plant and it needs to be repotted cause the roots are growing out of the bottom. It's in a 4 inch nursery pot right now and I was thinking of putting it in a 6" terracotta pot. What do you all think? Thanks for the help
Hi! Does anyone know the approximate timeline of a ZZ plant to mature from propagation? I got this little guy with two of its leaves propagating about 2/3 months ago, and while the plant overall looks like itâs growing, these areas look the same. Do they eventually grow upwards and form stems? I would appreciate any input here for my own curiosity, thank you!
Girlie living her best life in the miscellaneous plant pond âïžđ. I've actually never had alocasia but I'm rehabbing this for a friend. Not sure if water is the best method so does anyone have advice for getting her to grow anything?
I just bought this plant on the clearance rack. It says its a mini variegated lipstick plant.I think it's been over watered cause some of the leaves are mushy and I dumped a lot of water out of the tray connected to it. Should I just let it dry out or repot with dry soil. Thanks for any help

Hey! I have a really nice and wholesome spider plant in a potter. Itâs also producing flowers and those baby branches that looks like having newer spider plant babies on its ends. Is it possible I can cut those small babies and replant them to grow another spider plant in another potter?
