My youngest two kids were doing their usual fighting/pushing and this happened. I kept my cool but sent them upstairs so I could pick them up and clean but I’m bawling now. I’ve had my spider from my other son for two years and the burgundy rubber I saved and it was starting to com back. Now everything is ruined!! Can I fix them?
I bought these little mushroom guys last year on temu and just thru them in my plants but today I think I might have found a use for them 👀 😊
So a few weeks ago I repotted a couple plants - a snow queen pothos here and a variegated Alocasia frydek - into self watering pots. In both, but mostly in my pothos, the roots grew so fast and down into the water through the drainage holes. But they’re also showing so much new growth since I did this. Is it okay if I leave them like this for awhile? I just worry about root rot!
For my next plant (still a beginner plant mom), which one is the next best - Hoya, English ivy, or a snake plant? Thank you 🥰
Anyone else live further north and find your plants actually grow more in the winter than summer?? I find in the summer the sun is so high in the sky it doesn’t come as far in my house and if I move my plants closer to the windows they burn pretty quickly. It seems like in the winter when the sun is lower in the sky my plants are always putting out new growth. Anyone else find this??
Hi everyone, I have just recently started taking care of this rubber Belize plant. I am worried about the plant’s yellowish leaves, but have read with new growth sometimes the leaves may take on a yellow tint. At this time, I only water this plant once a week according to Planta’s watering schedule. I also repotted my plant and made sure the pot had a drainage hole. In addition, I put plant fertilizer sticks in the soil a few weeks ago. This plant resides on a table a few feet from the window. Should I be worried about the yellowish leaves? In the picture of my plant online, the leaves look like they are supposed to have a more pinkish tint. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.
Hi! I’m new to gardening outdoor plants. What kind of soil is best for herbs and vegetables that are in a balcony? I planted basil thyme rosemary butterhead lettuce and kale earlier this season but I think is not draining properly even tho I made a lot of holes to the planter box. I think is the soil but I’m not sure which soil should I use. Any info welcomed!!

Cross post... any one local to the Upper Valley NH/VT that would be interested in swaps/trades? I've been doing so much propagating, especially Alocasia's at the moment. I've got some Pollys, Frydek, scalprum corms brewing, soon to be Stingrays brewing. I don't have room to house so many of the same plants. I do gift some to co-workers...but thought it may be fun to swap if any of you are close by?? Just a thought. I don't have social media like FB for market place..
Picked up a bag of herb cuttings today they sat for a while but just got planted not looking to hot I know there’s cat nip sage bq rosemary butterfly bush thyme other rosemary if you recognize any let me know i’ve never grown herbs before but I wanted to try them for my animals if you know any tips😂
My fish tank plant is growing a flower under water??? So this is a first for me! At first I thought it was just a new leaf but this looks different!! Anyone else ever have this happen? My fish Crimson insisted on being in the pics too 🤣

I have a rubber plant which is growing enormous, can I cut this back? It has also started new branches low down, so as well as growing up, it’s growing outwards!
I had posted about Ruby, my ruby cascade, who hadn’t been doing well and was dropping leaves very quickly. I’m happy to report that after a repot in chunky soil she seems to be a lot better. I recently spotted a bit of new growth on her! I also bought a water meter on Amazon and it has made a world of difference with my plants. I find that I wasn’t doing a good job of knowing if they had dried out enough by using my finger. I’m watering less frequently now with the much more accurate meter. I was very upset that my pepperspot plant died, so I foolishly bought a new one (much smaller). She is also sporting some new growth. I’m glad to see that they’re both not dying!
