Hello! I am new to plants I want to start planting more and I started planting some basic plants like and ivy and a aloe Vera and they are thriving really good! But I just wanted to come on here and see if any one have any tips as a beginner with plants and some plant recommendations
I forgot what this plant is. She's sad looking and needs help. I keep her in the window next to my bath and the window has privacy texture on it, but it's very bright in there. I water when her soil gets dry. Idk what to do to make her grow better.
How could I co about trading my cuttings?
Hi! My Croton ‘Mammi’ is not happy! I have little experience with plants but I know there is something wrong with it. The leaves are wilting and there are holes. Maybe it is the pot, but I don’t know! Please help me!
Hi! I just repotted my new neon syngonium since I could see her roots popping out of the bottom holes of her original nursery pot, but when I took her out of said pot, the roots looked like this. Is/was she root bound? The first photo is the size pot I just changed her to, and the second photo with the tiny black containers is what she originally came in. I’m just essentially trying to see if she’s okay😅 the roots all felt firm/dry/not rotted, which I thought was the first good sign at least
Haven’t seen new growth in over 6 months. Should I be concerned?
I started using silica in the water a few months ago, the new leaves are velvety now 😊 (Super Thrive is the brand but look for the word Silica on the label)
Recently picked this lovely little goldfish plant up from Ott’s Exotic Plants. I know a little about this plant, and was really excited to spot a small one to buy, but I’d love to hear any tips anyone would like to share from their experience with theirs (especially any tips on how to get them to flower). Just a friendly reminder that the iPhone has a measurement app. 😆🤣 Using the app, I realized this pot has a flared lip, so my monstera is actually sitting in 8.5 inches of soil, not the 10 inches indicated by the pot. This is really useful to know for repotting, so I size up accordingly.
Does anyone know what this plant is? My m-i-l gave it to me as almost a dead twig. It has grown and thrived since I got it but I don’t know what it is or how wit is suppose to look. *Pictures of what it is suppose to look like would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏼
Woke up to some real progress on new growth I’ve been casually tracking. And yes, by casually, I mean running to my plants a few times a day, sticking a flashlight and a magnifying glass right up close and staring at them for a while. These are Becky (Anthurium Superbum) and Sonic’s (Sansevieria Stuckyi) first leaves since becoming part of the fam in March so this is super exciting! I hold my breath with new plants until I see a new leaf - never know if they will survive the transition to a new home and a semi-black thumbed parent like me.

Hi I have a couple of house plants and succulents is it ok if I use like pebble fertilizer instead of liquid fertilizer?
Do Zebra plants have naturally droopy/ wrinkly leaves? Ive had it for almost two months and seems healthy and has sprouting new leaves every few weeks. Just curious if this is a sign of over or under watering? Or does it look healthy and normal?
