Hi! I just repotted my new neon syngonium since I could see her roots popping out of the bottom holes of her original nursery pot, but when I took her out of said pot, the roots looked like this. Is/was she root bound? The first photo is the size pot I just changed her to, and the second photo with the tiny black containers is what she originally came in. I’m just essentially trying to see if she’s okay😅 the roots all felt firm/dry/not rotted, which I thought was the first good sign at least

You could tease the roots apart gently, so that they don’t continue growing compacted

You might want to try to find a pot in between the size of the previous pot it was in and the larger pot in the first photo. I usually opt for something around 1-2 inches wider than the diameter of the plant’s root ball. If you can’t find one in between those size pots, just be careful with letting it dry out enough between waterings and as long as the soil mix is well-draining, it should be fine. The roots look good! Love the color of that syngonium 😊🌸
