Why is this really long branch turning orange? Is it getting too much light? Not enough light?

This should go in the niche Lithops group, but I want to call attention to everyone who might see a soggy Lithops in a shop. I passed on a bunch, recently, due to them being placed under a dripping roof. However, I was compelled to grab these due to colors and patterns I don’t have. I did see a mite, squished it, hurried home and sprayed with Insecticidal Super Soap, watched the whole thing (two bunches here) fall apart in my hand. The roots are not good. Anyway, please locate an employee and mention something like, “You know, you don’t water these twice a week.” Or, “Does anyone here know what this is?” Or even, “Home Depot has this better figured out than you, a boutique shop.” “Your cactus are always soaked and dying, so please remove the word ‘cactus’ from the store title.” I am debating an experiment in cutting the bottom rot to see if they still grow or just give up. I’m always up for a challenge!

New to plants … I have some succulents and plants I have placed in my office at work. It has no windows so I put up some grow lights. I also leave my office light (LED) on all the time. Do I need to ration the lighting with timers or am I fine to continue what I am doing?

Help!!! I seem to have little gnats that hang around my plant soil. The humidity level in my apartment tends to keep my soils damp which I haven’t been able to control. Is there a trick to get rid of the gnats that hang around? They aren’t in abundance and they don’t bother me, I just don’t want it to be bothersome to others when I have people over. Any tips, cures or remedies?

I got this little peace lilly about 3 months ago and it hasn’t grown any new leaves. Do you guys know if I’m supposed to prune off the flower to encourage new growth?

I’m looking for good, nice looking, hanging plants that don’t need full sun and are at least relatively easy to care for, any suggestions?

So for the app in “custom name”, or life in general, what do you all name your plants??? Just in Pothos alone, I have 18 of them!! So far! 😂

Calling all snake plant parents! How often do you water yours? I keep seeing online about every two weeks and I feel that is still too much considering it’s a succulent but idk. What are your thoughts?

Does anyone have experience with growing lavender indoors? it currently faces a south window and I have put it in the windowsill. I don’t know if these yellow leaves are due to not enough light or too much watering. I’ve had this plant for about two months and I haven’t repotted it yet.

Hello! I’ve heard some things about using used coffee grounds for plant fertilization. What are your thoughts on this for house plants? I’ve built quite the community of plants that I love and would hate for something to happen to them because I tried something new. Thanks! 😊

Hi all, we have a variety of plants here. Sage, thyme, dill, basil, lavender, and mint. Just being overly cautious here as we’re plant beginners at our house. They look ok, but what do you think about these little guys?
