I am new to plants. I can’t figure out which plant this is. I think it’s Vriesea Robin plant but I am not sure. Does anyone else know?

I have noticed these spots in a few of my plants. Do I have a pest problem? And if so any thoughts of what kind and how to get rid of it?

My cute, adorable, male puppy decided to lift his leg and pee on my fern. I rinsed the leaves as soon as I noticed, but now there’s yellowing. Is there anything I should do to keep my plant from further browning/dying? I’ve already moved the plant so he can’t pee on it again. Fingers crossed!!

Just wanted to say this app has made me realize I’m not a neglectful plant mama, some plants just have a mind of their own and when it’s time, it’s time - hang in there if you’re intimidated by your plant children and don’t take it personal if you name a plant then it dies 😂😂😂 have a good day!

Help! I got advice at a reputable nursery to cut back a very mature Choco empress philodendron that was out of control. The problem is the cut stem is getting mold. What should I do?

Hi! I’m super new to this app. I found it while googling how to care for my plants because they all look sad. Turns out I don’t know what I’m doing 😅. I have this bamboo that I bought from Aldi a while back. I think it’s stuck in the pot it came in. However, this app is teaching me that this plant either needs drainage or should have the water container cleaned frequently (I know. It looks disgusting). Any recommendations? Should I keep trying to remove it? I could smash the pot? Or is it fine in there?

Hey Y’all. I’ve been babysitting my mom’s thyme plant for the last few weeks. She apologized that it wasn’t in the best shape and wasn’t sure what was going on with it. She’s a pretty thorough person, so not neglect. Anyway, I’ve fed it twice hoping to nurture it to better health, but it is still so dry, despite being cared for. There is a little bit of healthy growth here and there, but mostly, anytime I come near it, dried leaves fall off. Thoughts? Should I prune it way back? I’m making soup right now, so I plan to cut some…

I have 2 questions. So I currently have a Moth Orchid and am in desperate need to change out the orchid bark. My first question is, what kind of orchid bark would be the best? My second question is, does anyone know how to do this without fully damaging the plant? Thank you!

Lowes just received a beautiful shipment of plants and I am itching to bring some new plants into my space. However, I do not want to just pick any plant. Being a new plant mom with a Chinese evergreen (I've had for almost a year this July) hanging in there…I want to make sure that I know what I am getting into beforehand. My house is more low-lighting friendly although I have beautiful windows in the hallway and stairwell as well as my bedroom. Any ideas?? What were some of your favorites that you found easy to maintain and is currently thriving beautifully.

Good morning… Please help… This is a birds of paradise… Not sure if this is just because it was dry. I did water it yesterday, but it is still curled up…

My office plants sit under a grow light and are plenty happy, but occasionally when the sun is out I pop them on the windowsill for the day. I had a sudden worry, though, about whether plants need consistency over a nice burst of sunlight. They can’t live on the windowsill because of the shutters and I’m not going to move them back and forth every day. So, is the occasional day of natural light beneficial? Thanks! X

My polka dot plant was full and bushy when I got it. In about 2-3 weeks it’s grown a lot, but I see it commonly becomes leggy… so I’m wondering should I just keep cutting it back? To keep it bushy? Any tips? Also, I’ve read it’s very difficult I’d not impossible to propagate. True in your experience?

I need yalls opinion!!! Should I chop and prop to make this plant more full or leave it on the trellis? It’s doing really well right now but it’s so bald and it’s literally only two stems.

Someone please help 😭 I’m about to lose my mind 😅 I had mealybugs maybe a month or so ago.. treated twice and plants were good. Yesterday I saw some streaks on my bamboo plant. While inspecting other plants, I saw white spots on my monstera. I used alcohol and it seemed to turn brown (like mealy). Butttt today I look and there are all these white flakey things. Very very tiny. I thought maybe another bug? Whiteflies? Aphid skin? Weird thing is they seemed to pop out more since spaying the insecticidal soap last night, less than 24 hrs ago. I have no idea.. can anyone tell?? Pleaseeee, thank you!!!! 🙏

Hi. I’m not sure what’s wrong with my plant. Do I need to repot it?

where are the best places you’ve found to get well-draining (and yet pretty) pots? it’s probably time for me to rehome everybody again.
