My ficus tinekeās newest leaf (about 2-3 weeks old!) is lookin a bit strange, and i canāt really figure out why! iāve tried increasing the humidity with a humidifer, i donāt seem to see any pests, however i have recently moved its location to a brighter spot 2 days ago (it previously received about 800 lumens of light, it seemed like it needed more, increased to about 1,500, i worried the leaf was burning so iāve now moved it again into a shadier area). however, even if it was burnt, prior to moving it the leaf still seemed to be an extremely different colour to the rest of the leaves & wouldnāt harden. I also changed the soil 2 days ago to be a lot more draining.

Iām having a really hard time getting rid of gnats in the soil and I heard cinnamon works if you put a layer on top of the soil. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Hi all! New to the app here and hoping for some help to identify this plant? Would love to know the best care for it. All I know is that it is pet friendly!

Hi all, I realize temperatures are dropping and Iāll need to bring in my plants soon so Iām looking for some advice. Note that I have mostly succulents. I used to have my plants indoors on a large window sill but when we moved I finally had a patio to put them on ā which was great, because my window sills are not big enough at this new house to set my plants on. But because of that, Iām not sure where to put them once I bring them indoors. I have cats and I donāt want them to eat them because many are toxic, so I canāt have them just on a table near a window. Any ideas on how to set my plants up indoors with these constraints in mind??

Hi, Iāve bought this jade tricolour and itās sitting in very dense, soggy, poor draining soil. It also has some mold/fungus at the top of its soil. Would it be a bad idea to change the soil to well draining soil today or wait a few days

Bought this black velvet the other day for 50% off (like $6 USD) because it looked great and was just really droopy. (The plant store it was in actually has no windows so I figured it was just from lack of sun) Iāve had it sitting in the sunny window in the day time and in this chair at night under a grow light with it leaves propped up, hoping it will give it the support to get more upright.
Any suggestions to help this guy get less droopy?
Heās already doing better since I brought it home. Itās actually gone up a bit and had a new growth already. (Daytime picture is when I got it home the other day)

Oh the ājoyā of houseplants. I successfully fought off spider mites in many plants this summer. My monstera, while āokā was showing signs of āsomethingā else going on.
Today I drug her and BARELY managed to lift her into the tub. Gave her a shower, wiped all her leaves down, trimmed off lots of arial roots, and some leaves that had significant damage. Spotted at least three new leaves starting to poke out. Then went back in and and sprayed with Captain Jack Super Soap.
Send all the good vibes that I can rid her of the thrips I think started causing the damage.
