Help with the ID of this one? Scanning says monstera Peru but I’m not sure.
I found this plant in the street about 5 months ago, and the app tells me it’s an anthfytwal, but since I’ve got it from the streets I thought that the old leafs were just sad, but it’s been a while and she got tons of new growth and she is not looking nothing like an anthfytwal, in my opinion looks like an Alocasia, and the way it grows is just like it, but when I found it, it was a piece of stick with roots in one side and leafs in the other like a photos. Can anyone help me to identify it?
Part two of the Ranjani Shettar sculptural exhibition at the Barbican but at night!
does anyone know why my alocasia dragon scale had a yellow tip on the end of a leaf and another small was was half yellow
I wanted to thank everyone here! I got a grow light for my chambeyronia and it appears to be bouncing back. The yellowing has stopped and may even be receding. I think it just needed more light than a Seattle winter could give it!
Part two of my London adventures: A sculpture exhibition at the conservatory inside the Barbican. It combined many of my loves: architecture, plants, and art! The sculptures were made by Ranjani Shettar and were absolutely stunning among the plants. P.s. the monstera deliciosa’s were fruiting!
A few weeks ago I had the incredible opportunity to travel to London and I spent most of my time at various art exhibitions. This one was a photography exhibition at the Barbican called RE/SISTERS: A Lens on Gender and Ecology. It covered topics such as intersectionality and climate activism. I thought some of you fellow plant lovers would enjoy it or the book they made. It was one of the best art exhibitions I’ve ever been to, and truly thought provoking and fascinating!
Hi everyone! I love lavender so much and I have been trying so hard to find a way to grow it inside. I bought a dwarf lavender plant online and even bought a grow light. It still died. Does anyone know how to do this? Is there a specific type that works better indoors?
Anyone else finding the watering schedule for your Amplissimum to be way off? I’m on day 9 and app says wait two more days to water. My plant disagrees. It’s in a 6” pot, but I had it listed as a 5” pot. Just bumped it down again to a 4” pot which tells me 8 days to next watering.
Hey guys, I need help. Got this prayer plant about a year ago and it’s been growing a lot since then. But couple months ago I started to notice some tiny bugs crawling in the soil and have tried some insecticide. They kept coming back, especially after watering. Some leaves have brown tips since I got it back, and now some leaves have brown dots on it. What should I do? Any suggestions?
Got this madagascar palm about 2 years ago now… it’s obviously grown a lot but has not been able to keep new leaves (except one). Ik it is winter now so it may be dormant for a while but any tips on how to make it healthier? Does it need repotted? Fertilizer? I just am not sure.
What plants would be the best in low light and that are relatively small?
Hello everyone! This may seem like a stupid question but I’m a new plant mom with six plants and i’m leaving town for about a week and don’t have anyone to come in to care for them while i’m away… what should I do? or will they be fine?
My beautiful plant has an awkward limb it sticks straight out of the side so I could only put it in certain places because it takes up a lot of room. I would like to propagate it, but I’m very nervous because it is a Big Healthy limb, any advice would be greatly appreciated🤍🌱
I ordered 2 philodendron melanochrysum starter plants from Etsy on October 4th. I never received the plants and got a refund because they were out of stock. Fast forward to tonight. ’m not sure why yet but I received the 2 plants today!! However, I was not made aware that they were coming so I didn’t know they had been delivered. It was 25 degrees here in New York today. The plants were soooooo cold when I brought them in. I hope they survive. Please comment to let me know how I can best go about ensuring that I do everything possible to try and save these poor babies. Any advice appreciated. 💚
This may sound like a dumb question but I’m going to ask it anyway…. I need to increase the humidity level in my plant room. If I start running a humidifier will that cause mold to grow?
Just wanted to share the window of a little shop in Paris..
My air plants bottom leaves are turning brown/yellow and curling up and dying. Not enough water? Not enough light?
Half my peace lily is happy and the other half is sad idk what to do. She’s been like this for weeks and I actually rotated the sad side away from the sun thinking that was the issue but still doesn’t seem to perk up
Hi, any advice please? I have many plants but have never had a terrarium. My friend made me this today. It has succulents/cacti inside. Any advice, tips etc. the succulent (which looks like a money plant to me) has dropped several leaves. The soil is very damp as think they watered today. Obviously no drainage. Am I right in thinking covering the top would be good to create humidity?
